Vehicle Detail
For sale is my 1993 Ford Mustang GT - Running and Driving. The car is in decent condition with 159k miles on it. Modifications - Most of which were done by the previous owner:Wheels - 17x9 imitation cobra chrome wheels at all four corners with UniRoyal Tigerpaw performance tires. I bought the tires new when I purchased the car 3 years ago. The tread is great considering I have only put about 3k miles on the car since I bought it.Suspension - Stock control arms and bushings, lowering springs (I believe about 3 inches, but I'm not sure which brand), Koni Shocks and Struts.Engine - Stock 5.0 302ci, BBK Cold Air Intake, Cobra Upper and Lower Intake Manifolds, Ford Racing sparkplug wires.Exhaust - Stock headers, Flowmaster 40 mufflers to stock dumps.Transmission and Drivetrain - Ford Racing T5 and Aluminum Driveshaft. (As far as I know, the rear end gearing is stock.)Exterior - Brand new Cervini Ram Air hood. (Professionally Installed)Interior - Racing tach, water temp gauge, and aftermarket alarm. AC was updated to R134a. (The pod for the water temp gauge has an extra slot and I have an oil pressure gauge that comes with the car. I just never had time to install it.)Problems - Considering that this GT is 22 years old now and is still in semi-original condition, it shouldn't be a surprise that it has a few issues, this is by no means a show car. There are a few mechanical issues and a few cosmetic issues. I tried to document all of the flaws in the paint and the small hole in the driver's seat in the pictures that I took of the car. Paint - The car needs paint. Not a full paint job, but definitely a good touch up. The roof is really faded and so are the tops of the quarters, the top of the spoiler, and the top of the rear hatch. The sides are still good and they shine up really nice with a bit of elbow grease and some turtle wax. The hood is brand new.Heater Core - Arguably the biggest shortfall of the car is this problem. The heater core started going bad shortly after I purchased the car. It isn't leaking bad enough to pool coolant on the passenger's floor, but the inside of the car does smell like burnt coolant and the inside of the windshield fogs up. In addition to this the AC charge leaked out through the heater core, so the AC no longer blows cold. Power Steering Pump - The power steering is still working fine but it is a little loose and the pump is squealing a bit. It isn't too bad, but still worth noting. Wiring - The car, since I have owned it, has had trouble killing it's battery. If you have a battery tender this probably won't be much of an issue. As far as interior functions go, the power windows all work, all the lights work, the dash lights work, the power locks and mirrors do NOT work.Aside from the problems though, the car drives great! It has a great exhaust note, it's quick, and it actually handles surprisingly well for a fox mustang. The car is very much rust free, there is only a touch of surface rust on the cold air intake. Please take a look at the pictures and thank you for reading through this lengthy description. I tried to be quite thorough, but if I left something out or if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask me about it. Happy bidding.
