Classic 1970 Volvo P1800E 4speed with overdrive fintail coupe, starts and runs, we bought this car and were going to sit on it for a future restoration project, as I restore older air cooled Porsches and Mercedes. my family bought our first volvo in the late 70's in california, my mother ended up owning 3 in her lifetime, got in the first one and never changed brands so i am somewhat familar with volvo and always a fan of the P1800's, was looking at expanding into the P1800 market but don't have the bandwith at this time and with a relocation along with a backlog of Porsches, the car unfortunately will leave the stable. this car seems to have all the trim, the dash and interior look intact, with very little work the car turned over, idled and ran, the muffler and exhaust need to be replaced. There is a fare amount of rust on the side rocker panels on both sides, and behind the rear wheels, the floorboards look good, along with around all the windows. all the glass is intact and in good shape, the gauge cluster is in good shape, the interior seems to be complete but needs recovering, good bones at a good price for a classic that is escalating at auction as a P1800 sold earilier in the year for $77k. this car is showing a little over 90k miles on the odometer, by no means is perfect, it needs restoration is along the barn find but looks as if the car was a daily runner. there primer on the front end and some on the rear so i don't know if the previous owner was going to restore or do a partial. Priced to sell, I can arrange to transport and drop off at the Port of Los Angeles.
