(941)286-0889 THIS VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN PROFESSIONALLY DETAILED!!! IT HAS BEEN WASHED AND WIPED DOWN WITH TURTLE WAX QUICK SHINE PRIOR TO BEING PHOTOGRAPHED. IMAGINE HOW AMAZING IT WILL LOOK WHEN YOU TAKE THE TIME TO DETAIL AT HOME! OVERVIEW You know I am a certified classic truck nut. Heck, I started going through files when we were moving to the new building, and counted over 287 classic trucks I have had, and I am SURE I was missing some of them! This sweet little truck is the one and only Luck Petes truck, and is well-known throughout the mid-west as a staple at most of the shows where it lived the last few years, as well as around the Alabama area where it was originally concieved and built by Lee at Extreme Collision. It has been an award winner on a local and regional level on a consistent basis ever since, and a fun and reliable daily-driver ready truck. Please review the DETAILED DESCRIPTION and information provided below, and look through the 100 LARGE PHOTOS I have provided. If you have questions, or would like to arrange a private showing, please call me at 941-286-0889. THIS IS NOT A CONSIGNMENT CAR! I have the clean and clear title in hand, and the car is ready for immediate sale, delivery, and ownership. FOR VEHICLE FINANCING, APPLY ONLINE AT: WWW.JJBEST.COM CONDITION REPORT If you do not like attention, stop reading now, because this truck is an absolute MAGNET and will have you getting 10 picture requests a day and answering 20 questions at every gas stop! It started with a complete cab and bed off the frame redo about 6 years ago, and has been cruised and driven to most of the bigger shows throughout the years without issue. The body is still in incredible, clean, and rust-free condition, and the radical looking Hot Rod Flatz BURNT ORANGE finish still looks fantastic from every angle. Yes, after being driven 3,000 or so miles since completed, it does have a couple little stone chips, a scuff mark, or other paint blemish to show, but as you can tell from the 100 extra-large photos it is still a 100% show-ready machine! The truck is all steel, and you can run a 4" square felt covered magnet over the entire thing and it will stick like glue! No sign of chicken wire, door screen, crushed up beer cans, or bondo patch panels on the truck, and it shows super straight with excellent gaps and clean fit and finish. The striping, logos, and flames throughout the outside of the truck were all hand-painted by Darin at KILLER DESIGNS in Kentucky, and it all looks AMAZING! I have taken detailed shots of almost all of it in the photos with this listing. Grille, front and rear bumpers, and most of the polished or chrome parts and associated trim were stripped and acid etched prior to being sprayed with the same HRF Burnt Orange for a cool monochromatic look. It all looks fantastic, and for the most part is devoid of dents, divots and damage. Lights, lenses, and housings for them are all in great condition and operate as they should. All of the glass on the truck is in excellent condition, with no cracks, chips, or damage evident. All of the weather seals, weather stripping, and window surrounds looks fantastic, and seals out the elements like it should. Wiper arms show light chrome finish issues, but are perfectly functional and suitable for driving. Chrome mini mirrors are in great condition, and function like they should. The cream white finish on the roof of the truck looks fantastic, and provides a clean color for the orange to play off of, while joining to the white bed cover to provide a nice contrasting look to the truck. The truck rides on full chrome smoothies with baby moons and they are in excellent condition all around. They are wrapped in 15" HANKOOK ATLAS WIDE WHITEWALL RADIALS up front, and GREMAX 225/75r15 radials with PORTA-WALLS in the back. All of the tires are damage and issue free, and have only about 3,000 miles on them. The tonneau cover was custom made for the truck, and it fits PERFECTLY with all snaps being fully functional. There are no cuts, rips, or signs of damage, and only a couple little marks that will probably come out when you take the time to detail the truck. Remove the cover, and you see that the inner walls of the bed have been treated with a roll on liner material to protect them from car shows chairs and coolers. The bed floor itself is real wood, and has been waterproofed and treated before installation with new hardware and trim. Gas cap for the relocated tank is located near the end of the bed, and functions as it should. All of the lights work on the truck, including headlights, hi beams, and signal lights. The chassis of the truck is clean and rust free, and shows only the normal patina of bare metal. Shorty exhaust system sounds awesome, and gives the truck a healthy rumble that lets everyone know something cool is coming towards them. Suspension system is solid and tight, and the truck rides very nicely, and handles so easy even your sweet little Aunt could probably drive it! Brakes are solid and sure, and bring the truck down from speed without any odd wander, fade, pulling, or weird modulation. Steering is light and easy, and you would swear it was power, but it is not! Most of the components are intact for PS, but when the truck was redone, the prior owner felt that it steered light enough already so they opted not to hook it up like they originally intended. I can one hand the thing with ease, and my wife drove it without complaint, so I am sure all but the frailest of people can cruise it around without issue. Probably would not take much to hook the rest of it up if you want to. The chassis and suspension parts show cleanly, but the engine bay is really nice, and has been treated to gloss black with more custom striping underneath. Ford in a Ford is a rare thing these days, so the clean running little 302 in this truck is a nice surprise! The motor was built for ease of maintenance, longevity, and daily driver qualities in mind, so do not expect to win any pink slips with it, but it has plenty of power and will smoke the tires if that is your cup of tea. I did not build it, so I do not have much on internal specs for you, but from the prior owner supplied information and seat of the pants driving time I would estimate that it is somewhere around a 225hp powertrain, and feels really smooth so I do not believe it has a cam or anything. Idle is clean, and the truck scoots right along when you hit the go pedal. It does not and has not leaked, wept, smoked or done anything odd since I have had it, and I have now driven it as a daily use vehicle for about a week and well over 200 miles without issue. Engine itself is clean and looks good, with painted valve covers, a fresh EDELBROCK 7170 Carb, and some chrome and polished bits to make it show good at cruise night. The new radiator and fan set up keeps the truck super cool, even in our recent 100 degree Florida weather. I have seen it hit 203 on one of my trips I took it on, and that was sitting in a line waiting to park at a car show for 20 minutes. The rest of the time, it hangs in the 193/194 range, no matter how hot the sun is. As you can see in the pictures, most of the hardware and stuff on the truck still looks like new, and it has been very carefully maintained and cared for by the prior owner with garage storage, and Spring through Fall use ONLY. The truck cruises right along, and with the current gearing is happiest around 65 mph, although it will easily do more! If you wanted to make it a freeway flier, a gear swap would be needed, but for now, it is PERFECT for cruising in town and on the highways, with the occasional quick trip on the Interstate. The C4 FORD automatic shifts smooth, and has no known issues. It does not appear to have a shift kit or stall converter. The interior of the truck is very nice, and provides a perfect place to command the truck from. Dash is painted and striped like the rest of the truck, and shows wonderfully. Custom made wood-topped knobs cover the functional switches for AIR VENT, LIGHTS, WIPERS, CIG. LIGHTER, CHOKE, and FAN controls. Everything works like it should, including the fan. Dash also has the original gauge surround in great condition, and the original Speedo/Odo that is functional as well, and shows 72,286 on it now. A SUNTUNE Tachometer has been cleverly installed in one of the defrost vents, and looks and works great! A center mounted gauge pod holds modern gauges to monitor OIL PRESSURE / WATER TEMP / and FUEL, and all appear to working as they should be. The custom made floor console provides some storage area and looks good in front of the chrome shift arm with 8-Ball topper. A removable center console unit sits on the seat, and has more hidden storage along with two cup holders. It simply lifts out if you don’t need it, leaving room for three full size adults on the large, cloth covered bench seat. OEM style headliner looks great, as does the single driver side visor. Doors have been painted and striped like the rest of the truck, and look great, along with the chrome door pulls and window rollers. Fuzzies and regulators are like new, so windows roll up and down with ease. The passenger side vent window handle broke off on the prior owner, and it will need replaced. The interior striping was handled by another famous striper, Nick of Garage No. 7 fame! The truck has full banded carpeting on the floor, installed over a layer of insulation / sound dampening, and it all looks fantastic with a set of heavy rubber mats to protect it. Behind the seat are two custom made boxes with KENWOOD 6x9 full range speakers connected to the glovebox mounted KENWOOD XHJ6425 AM-FM-CD-MP3 stereo with USB/iPhone plug and wireless remote. It sounds great, and works like it should. The truck is a super clean little cruiser that gets a LOT of attention. It is NOT a rat; or thrown-together gimmick. It is a really clean, well-done, quality built pickup that you can drive wherever you want, and snag a trophy or prize at a local or regional car show with. Clean and straight body, solid and clean chassis, reliable and smooth running chassis, and good looks all rolled into one make this a great unit for any collection. IT IS TITLED AS A 1961 FORD.
