HONDA CB750 cc touring bike MFG date 9/73 Serial number FRAME 231459 Motor 750 E 2314524. Honda experts know that HONDA motor and frame numbers do not exactly match. (See photos). This is the original motor., which was never removed from this bike. 605 pounds empty 18,023 original miles. The big HONDA 750s four cylinders are getting scarce, and expensive They are a comfortable touring bike which can be restored with little effort and cost. A few weeks ago this one was rolled it out of the shed, cleaned off the dust, and nothing else. This was one of grandpas favorite bikes, which he stopped seriously riding after purchasing a new Gold Wing back in 1975/76. I relocated to NY from Iowa, so this bike was last ridden on the street over a dozen years ago. The motor ran strong on all four cylinders with NO PROBLEMS or unusual noises. the clutch was strong, but with the clutch lever cracked off during shipping from Iowa to NY. I have too little time to tinker with it, so it's a bargain and needs to find it a good home.. It's one of those bikes that you never forget, but I sadly need to sell it before another winter comes. It was never dropped or wrecked and ran down the road straight and smooth. It still has a lot of integrity and is a great find for a buyer desirous of an easy restoration. Consider the great condition after 40 years. Amazing...!!! The good part is that most vintage Honda spares can still be located online. The original mufflers developed some small holes around the bottoms which can easily be repaired/patched over, If you like, you can replace them with a new set (if u can find them) for around $800. The orange metal flake paint is original and needs to be refinished. One side cover is cracked,and need replacement. Missing cover emblem The original seat is intact, but has a small tear (new covers are available). All the electrical was working, but the bike needs a new battery and some TLC. The turn signal lens are now on the bike and a new photo will be posted shortly.
