Here we have for sale one of the finest examples of a 1965 Corvair Corsa Turbo Convertible on the market! vin# 107675W270284. This car was purchased in October of 2014 after it received a full restoration from a well known Corvair Corsa member. After the purchase its current loving owner desired nothing but perfection and spent over 5k making it perfect! After the traditional restoration, he proceeded to install a fully rebuilt Carter carb, a new battery, a new thermiistor for temp gauge (If you know these cars its near impossible to get this!), A new windshield washer pump, new heater fan, and a new clock to complete the ultimate Corvair. This beautiful Corsa is equipped with GM’s rear mount horizontally opposed turbo charged 180hp 6cyl motor mated to a 4 speed manual transmission. This Corsa Convertible is the top of the line model for the Corvair and only produced in 1965 and 1966. You could not get a Corsa past 66 or a Turbo engine which makes this a little more rare than many others. It is in extremely nice condition as you can tell from the current pictures and was a former CORSA show winner out of Nashville Tennessee. This car is one of the sharpest Corvairs! The Sierra Tan paint matched with the Saddle Tan top and interior makes this an incredible looking Convertible. The paint and body panels are in great condition with no rust issues. The beautiful tan interior just takes this convertible to the next level. It is very clean and correct. The tan “power” convertible top is also in excellent condition and working properly. The car runs and drives fantastic and the motor operates as it should so you can feel the 180 horses. This Corsa Convertible Turbo is not only somewhat rare but also a unique car that you will rarely see even at the best car events. It does have a few options worth mentioning like the power top feature, factory AM/FM radio, wood steering wheel and bumper guards. It also is equipped with custom GM factory chrome 15" wheels and low profile tires (not 1965 vintage), just to add the right amount of sporty to this collector car. This example really has no excuses and has had everything gone over. The owner just got a rebuilt speedometer that can be included with purchase or installed before delivery, everything else in the car works correctly! In addition the purchase will also include a complete set of engine gaskets, 2 fan belts, additional new air filter, new tan car cover, 2 headlight bevels, and of course a Corvair service manual.
