Up for sale is a 1978 Volvo 245 DL (240) wagon. 149K original miles. Good running B21F fuel injected 4-cylinder engine and M46 4-speed manual transmission with electronic Laycock overdrive (5th gear) which works great. New timing belt, accessory belts, spark plugs, valve cover gasket, and brake calipers. Oil was just changed as were the main and in tank fuel pumps, rubber boot between intake and fuel distributor, and the upper idle valve hose. Interior (seats) from a 1983 245 turbo. Virgo turbo wheels pictured are NOT, repeat, NOT included. Volvo 240 steel wheels will be installed (will likely need tires). Car is not currently registered, inspected, or insured. The car has some rust which has been patched, but it is a rare car and well worth restoring. It has been off the road since roughly 2007 or so. It was kept in a garage during that time. We flushed the fuel system and it started right up. Brakes could use bleeding, and the shocks are a bit tired, but this body style is very hard to find, and the value is going up. It has a custom dual exhaust. Included with the sale is: NOS EGR tube, EGR tube nipple for exhaust manifold, EGR nipple gasket, original window sticker, and new lower idle valve hose. There is no radio installed, and the AC does not work (needs at least a new thermostat switch as it was removed long ago because the thermostat switch did not work), It has H4 low beam headlamp bulbs. With a little work, this car would be a great car, and would really turn heads. Selling AS IS. No warranty expressed, implied, or otherwise offered. There will be absolutely no refunds given for any reason whatsoever. Full payment due within 3 days unless other arrangements are made. Vehicle must be picked up within 10 days from the sale date (unless other arrangements are made and agreed to) otherwise there will be a $25.00/day storage fee charged starting on day 11. There is a $150.00 non-refundable deposit due immediately following the sale. Buyer will be responsible for ALL paypal fees if paying for the deposit or balance via paypal. I am a reasonable person and will work with the buyer in any way that I can. The vehicle can be picked up in Newark/Bear, Delaware 19702. If having the car shipped, I can work with the shipper as much as possible. The car does drive, but we have not gone far with it, so it would be at your own risk if you decide to drive it. Again, the virgo alloy wheels pictured are NOT included in the sale.
