For sale is a beautiful MR2 Spyder with rare 2zz/6MT swap! About the car: At roughly 2200lbs (includes gas) with an 189hp engine and multiple other performance upgrades (see below), this roadster is as lively as it is reliable. This is a fully finished, operable, and reliable vehicle I've driven for the last 3 years. Oil always done at 3,500 miles, all fluids and maintenance performed in regular intervals. The carpets have been removed by me for easier maintenance; drive the car for a week and you'll understand the ease of never worrying about anything being spilled. About the swap: This car was done as the 3rd 2zz swap by a gearhead in Binghamton, NY. Engine pulled from a 2001 Pontiac Vibe GT front clip with roughly 72,000 miles. The MR2 (at the time) had roughly 106,000 miles and had lost the original engine to oil starvation. The 6MT was a special ordered JDM unit due to the greater reliability of the JDM C60. As far as aesthetics, all the exterior trim and lights have been swapped from the 2003+ body style with tasteful black accents added where appropriate.
