The E55 has been smoking Z06’s and Lambo’s for 10 years and the new ZR1 wasn’t even conceived in 03. E55 has dominated the world of luxury cars for 11 years, so it picks fights with supercars. The mere fact a car over 10 years old has no problem going head to head with the best. The E55 is a 4000 pound 4 door luxury sedan and it is more laughable that the new CTS-V copied the supercharged platform from Mercedes, because none of their earlier models could touch it. The E55 is truly a remarkable machine.

The E55 M113 engine that is basically the SLR McLaren engine variant minus some intercoolers and cams is Mercedes best engine, hands down. These AMG cars are hand built with forged internals, and transmissions that shift in 65 to 100 milliseconds. The transmission is power rated up to 1000hp from the factory and these M113 engines are a Million mile sand tested from the factory.
