Classic Porsche Speedster Replica. This is kit from Vintage Speesters, 12112 Centralia St. Hawaiin Gardens Ca. 90716. It is built on a Volkswagen frame, not sure what year. The engine, I think, is a 1776 cc VW engine with dual Kadron carbs. The reason I'm not sure about these things is that I bought it as a basket case. 2 other people had started and failed to get it built, records of frame and engine were not passed along. I bought it, loaded all the parts on a trailer and hauled it home. The supplied gauges didn't work so I bought and installed all new VDO gauges Speedometer and Tach. It runs and drives very well, has plenty of power! It will do 70mph on the Freeway with no problem. It has a Vintage Speed shifter, that works wonderful. Disc brakes on the front Drum brakes on the rear. Had Special seat covers made that say "Speedster" in the back rest. The entire frame is powder coated (Red). The wheels are Porsche Fuch. The tires are brand new! Goodyear Eagle GT 195/60R15 all four.
