Vehicle Detail

1970 Trail90 CT90 I'm not sure if anybody that doesn't know what a 1970 CT90 is all about is going to buy one, but here goes...4-speed semi-auto - you shift with your left foot but there is no clutch leverDual-range gear box - one range for the street and one for heavy loads, putting around off-road, running elk quarters back to the truck, or climbing steep mountain trailsAltitude compensating carb - you can adjust the fuel/air mixture for riding from the Furnace Creek visitor center in Death Valley to the top of Pikes PeakThis bike has one seat, although it does have foot pegs if you choose to buy the optional buddy seat that attaches to the monster rear rackMonster rear rack - guys used to use these for many of the same things that 4x4 ATVs are used for these daysThe lever at the base of the handlebars allows you to rotate the handlebars around 90° in case you choose to bumper mount the bike on your truck or RV Phenomenal gas mileage ~100MPG Many people say a CT90 takes the place of three bikes in their garage...a scooter, an ATV, and a dual-sport!The CT90 is as reliable as a hammer, and easy to maintain. I have owned this bike since 2012. It runs great and looks pretty good too!It had recently had a partial restoration; a new seat cover, paint, tires, etc...I added an upgraded rectifier from radio shack What it needs before you can ride it?A license plate, insurance, and some gas! What it needs to keep the hordes of CT90 purists off your back, or to bring the photographers from CT90 Monthly to your door?Fork spring gaiters are not pretty, cable housings are old, switches on handlebars may not be original - on the left side there is a boss for a handle that isn't there (but rear brake works fine through right side pedal), somebody swapped the stock air box for a high-speed low-drag air filter pod, slow leak in rear tire. Some websites cite a top speed in the 50-55MPH range but I've never seen more than 45MPH. I am about 200 pounds and live at 4200' so these may be factors. This sale includes some extra, year-unknown CT90 parts...take a look at the pictures there are some cables, an engine with fresh top-end, engine guard/skid plate, wheels/tires from an earlier model, and a box of small parts. A treasure trove really. Buy It Now includes delivery to Las Vegas or Phoenix
