Vehicle Detail
1977 Dodge D10 Adventurer 150SE (Green)I am the third owner of this Dodge Adventurer 150SE, having now owned it for about a year. Since purchase, I have put a little less than 1,000 miles on this beast and it has been an absolute joy to drive and the "true" 8 foot bed has been great for moving stuff around and helping friends. It's classified by Dodge as a D100 Series truck with a conventional cab and a gross vehicle weight of 6,100 pounds. It is powered by a 400 CID overhead valve V-8 and it was built in 1977. What made the Adventurer series unique was that the the interior was attractively trimmed and the gauge package comprehensive. The odometer currently reads "07322" though it has rolled over so the real number should be closer 107,322 In addition to basic oil changes, fuel filter replacement, air filter replacement, and just general maintenance - a few other more major service jobs have been performed which I will list below. Complete brake overhaulIncluding resurfacing of both the rotors and drums, rebuilding caliper and wheel cylinders, new hoses, rebuilt master cylinder, new pads, bleeding the system, and lubrication of all critical areas. The brakes are honestly in 100% first class working order. New AlternatorWith new wires and belt New Voltage RegulatorFor the battery New ignition module New set of spark-plugs New 60 month batteryInterstate Mega-Tron II. Installed in May so basically only (3) months of use New Windshield Wiper MotorWith new wipers Key Points about this particular 150SE ExteriorThe paint is original/unrestored and in general shows an average amount of wear but nothing that I would consider "severe". You will find marks/scratches throughout the green finish, as well as some dents, pieces of missing trim, rust spots, etc. This truck has been driven but I wouldn't say abused. To me it essentially shows the signs of a 38 year old beast that hasn't been kept inside a glass case. I believe that the bed liner is original though I'm not 100% sure.InteriorIn original/unrestored condition and in my opinion quite nice, again considering that this truck is 38 years old and hasn't been restored. You will find tears in the main bench, stains in the green carpet, and just general signs of use. I don't believe that the ceiling bolted fan is original but it works well and comes in quite handy this time of year. The dashboard is clean and to my eye crack-free though if inspected very closely little cracks may be found. The glove box also doesn't lock.Instrument PanelIn original/unrestored condition. With the exception of the built-in clock (which could probably be fixed) every other gauge works well along with the original radio, the fan (of course no A/C), headlights (regular/bright), back cabin light, horn, turn signals, etc. I dont' believe that the floor speakers are original though I'm not 100% sure. Both doors are in excellent condition with nice trim, solid working locks, and windows that roll up/down. The rear sliding window currently doesn't a lock though (1) could be added.BedAs is a nice feature of older trucks, you've got a full 8 foot bed with black plastic liner. The bed shows average signs of wear but nothing super major. The tail gate opens/closes nicely and the bumper while slightly bent in a few places is 100% solid with a good working hitch.EngineThe original/unrestored 400 V8 engine is a solid runner with honestly no issues to report. As with any older truck, this Dodge prefers the hot weather so it's nice to consistently run it during the cold months. It starts up nicely and runs quite smoothly. The hood pops open nicely and both head lamps were recently replaced.TiresI don't know exactly how old the tires are but they show excellent thread and shouldn't need to be replaced anytime soon. All in all you're looking a Dodge truck is fine running shape with average signs of wear. I do have the title though most counties don't require it for registration. It's available for viewing and/or test driving so just shoot me an email if you're interested in having a look.
