Vehicle Detail
I bought this 911 a while ago to be one of my next projects, but I'm probably not going to have time for it. The car does not run. I was told it was parked about 10 years ago due to a burned valve and hasn't run since. I haven't done anything mechanical to the car, so I can't speak to that. All I did was go through great lengths to clear up the DMV paper trail (various intermediate owners, lien, backfees, etc.). I now have a clean California title in my name. The car also has a number of cosmetic flaws. It appears to have received a poor paint job at some point, which is particularly evident on one of the front fenders and the drivers door. In other parts, especially the roof, the clear coat is wearing off. The interior shows a decent amount of wear and tear. Most of it are small things such as door panels and pockets. The floor mats were so far gone, I removed them already. The headliner isn't in great shape, either. Possibly because the sunroof seal is fairly chewed up. There's a small chip in the windshield. And I think it needs a new set of locks + keys. All that said, the car appears pretty much complete, down to the Euro headlights, space-saver spare, and toolkit. The body is straight and dry so far as I can tell. With a motor rebuild and some TLC for the interior and exterior, this would make a great driver again. Alternatively, it could be a great starting point for a race / track car, backdate hot rod, etc. Inspections welcome. Please message for appointments. Possible times: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights, 7-9pm.
