This vehicle runs very well and is very fun to drive! Engine runs really nicely and the vehicle rides great! It is a 4 speed manual transmission with decent tires and overall good condition on the body. Four wheel drive does work. Call Reid with any questions: 435-773-1985. I have seen no evidence of major damage on the vehicle. Previous two owners have no idea why it shows rebuilt/restored on the title. They had driven it for years and years not even realizing that it had that designation. Either way, it is a very nice vehicle. Whoever did the work did a good job. It is a 27 year old vehicle so it feels to me like any potential bugs from the rebuild have been worked out. The 4 wheel drive works, transmission shifts smoothly, brakes work well, clutch is strong. I am amazed at how nice it drives. There are no rattles or noticeable issues. Engine does have some oil leaks and would probably run even better if it had a tune up. However, I have driven it all over the place and it really is nice. Every time I drive it I feel the nostalgia of 27 years of adventures both on and off road that have taken place in it. I know that it has been used for Elk hunting in the mountains and for a previous owner's daughter's college experience. The main thing I can say about this FJ60 is that it really runs and drives very nicely!! I am honestly tempted to keep it and let my kids drive it. However, my financial situation requires me to get it sold. Before owning this vehicle, I had never driven an FJ60 and had no idea how nicely they drive. It really handles the bumps well and has a very tight turning radius. It is really fun to take off road. This makes a great foundational vehicle to turn into a great final project. A/C is currently not working. Headlights, tail lights, and all other marker lights work. Horn is currently acting up a little. Tires are in decent condition and should pass a safety inspection. The brakes feel really good. Clutch works nicely and feels right. Engine does not blow any smoke. Paint discoloration is due to yellow primer used to prevent rust from progressing. It has not been smoked in. Interior is in decent shape. Tires are in good condition. Somebody decided to paint it and change the color from blue to yellow. The good news is that it really prevented further major rust. The not so good news is that the clear coat has mostly peeled off so eventually it will need to be painted. It has the typical rust on the wheel wells and some on the rocker panels. The paint has been touched up with yellow rustoleum to prevent further rust. It actually matches pretty well. Again, I really wish I could keep this thing because it is so fun to drive and drives so well! I do want to say that I am in no means a mechanical expert. If you want to have this vehicle inspected it is your responsibility to do so prior to the end of the auction. This vehicle drives out great! My kids have been begging me to sell my F250 with 117,000 original miles and keep this vehicle. Unfortunately, I can't keep them both. This Toyota FJ60 4x4 is a daily driver that is ready to hit the road! This vehicle runs very well and is very fun to drive! Engine runs really nicely and the vehicle rides great! This vehicle is 27 years old and would make a great driver or restoration project. I have seen no evidence of major damage on the vehicle. Previous two owners have no idea why it shows rebuilt/restored on the title. They had driven it for years and years not even realizing that it had that designation. Either way, it is a very nice vehicle. Whoever did the work did a good job. It is a 27 year old vehicle so it feels to me like any potential bugs from the rebuild have been worked out. The 4 wheel drive works, transmission shifts smoothly, brakes work well, clutch is strong. I am amazed at how nice it drives. There are no rattles or noticeable issues.
Engine does have some oil leaks and would probably run even better if it had a tune up. However, I have driven it all over the place and it really is nice. Every time I drive it I feel the nostalgia of 27 years of adventures both on and off road that have taken place in it. I know that it has been used for Elk hunting in the mountains and for a previous owner's daughter's college experience. The main thing I can say about this FJ60 is that it really runs and drives very nicely!! I am honestly tempted to keep it and let my kids drive it. However, my financial situation requires me to get it sold.
Before owning this vehicle, I had never driven an FJ60 and had no idea how nicely they drive. It really handles the bumps well and has a very tight turning radius. It is really fun to take off road. This makes a great foundational vehicle to turn into a great final project. A/C is currently not working. Headlights, tail lights, and all other marker lights work. Horn is currently acting up a little. Tires are in decent condition and should pass a safety inspection. The brakes feel really good. Clutch works nicely and feels right. Engine does not blow any smoke. Paint discoloration is due to yellow primer used to prevent rust from progressing.
It has not been smoked in. Interior is in decent shape. Tires are in good condition. Somebody decided to paint it and change the color from blue to yellow. The good news is that it really prevented further major rust. The not so good news is that the clear coat has mostly peeled off so eventually it will need to be painted.
It has the typical rust on the wheel wells and some on the rocker panels. The paint has been touched up with yellow rustoleum to prevent further rust. It actually matches pretty well. Again, I really wish I could keep this thing because it is so fun to drive and drives so well! I do want to say that I am in no means a mechanical expert. If you want to have this vehicle inspected it is your responsibility to do so prior to the end of the auction. This vehicle drives out great! My kids have been begging me to sell my F250 with 117,000 original miles and keep this vehicle. Unfortunately, I can't keep them both.
