Everything mechanically sound and working. Beautiful paint, great wood, this car shows no signs of UV damage. Well detailed engine compartment. Brand new hood insulation pad. Fine presentation! The third-generation Mercedes-Benz SL, or the R107 as it is known to enthusiasts, is one of the most iconic cars ever produced by Mercedes-Benz, if not any automobile manufacturer. Made for 18 years, from 1972 to 1989, the ultimate expression of the R107 is the final 560SL model, made from 1986-1989, having all improvements made throughout the life of the design, as well as the most powerful engine, a 5.6 liter V8. The 560SL is quickly becoming noticed by collectors, given the rise in the previous generation SL models, and its iconic shape along with its unimpeachable build quality means that prices are rising. Yes, there were many of these cars made, but few have survived in collector quality condition, and this 560SL is one of them. Original retail on this car was $64,500.On Jun-14-15 at 13:05:37 PDT, seller added the following information: FURTHER QUESTIONS OR ASSISTANCE, CALL RAY at 617-850-2908
