I have owned this Excursion since 2012 used to pull my 27' Hallett boat with 7 people passengers inside this "King of the SUVs". I have since sold the Hallett and want to buy a 4 door jeep to pull behind my Prevost. Factory options: Power/heated seats, power adjust pedals, Elect on the fly 4X4 shift, back-up sensors, keyless entry pad, keyless entry, towing package, electric auto temp control and more.. I have added the following to improve reliability and appearance: Ford Harley F250 black headlamps, BMF 20" Novacane wheels, custom grill, steel cowl hood, Livewire TS programmer, ARP Head studs, new outer tie Rods, Ball joints, sway-bar links, rear brake brake assemblies with backing plates, transmission upgraded 16500 transtar pump, 6-stud billet torque converter, new A\C compressor, $6588.25 worth of engine bullet-proof upgrades, Sinister inline coolant filter, EGR delete, Oil cooler, fresh air intake, BMF exhaust?...the list goes on. If there was a known weak link in the 6.0 engine I addressed the problem with all better than factory over-kill products. Like I said, I put my family in this SUV and pulled my boat on vacation. There was no way I was going to be 1000 miles from home and on the side of the road with a problem with my family looking at me like I'm a idiot. This truck was NOT built so it could be beat by a crazed gearhead, but to be extremely dependable diesel powered SUV an pull whatever I put behind it. The areas that are just starting to show wear: the drivers seat right armrest is cracked, both front seat bottom covers getting a little worn, the digital overhead display flickers on and off. The truck looks like it has about 60,000 miles on it. I believe I am the second or third owner and have so maintenance record from the previous owner done by the dealership. I run Amsoil in the drivetrain and Shell Rotella T6 in the engine Bid with confidence. Let me know if you have any questions or would like a photo of something I didn't include.On Jul-10-15 at 05:26:34 PDT, seller added the following information: Transmission had a new Transtar Premium pump assembly and new 6-Stub billet torque converter installed a year ago. Factory Ford torque converters are know for having problems with the stub breaking. Bad design from Ford to begin with. I replaced with the billet converter and problems solved. Work preformed a year ago today. I also have a set of Pro Comp Xtreme 20" chrome wheels with Hankook Dynapro ATM LT 275/65R20 tires I will include with Excursion. Tires are in excellent shape with about 9000 miles on them. The rims are in good shape but the chrome is bad and starting to flake. I used this combination in the winter so I didn't have to run the BMF wheels.
