This is a hard to find 1971 GTO convertible, came from the factory with a 400, auto, power steering, power brakes, tilt wheel, A/C and power windows, buckets and console all factory equipment... I have the PHS and what makes it even rarer its FACTORY TRIPLE BLACK CAR with a total built of 508 convertibles with the 400 and automatic and I doubt more then ten built were triple black............ This is the last year Pontiac built a GTO convertible, the car starts and runs off the key (electrical is in tact), goes into all gears, the brakes seem fine as the car stops good, exhaust system sounds great and it has four new tires I just put on...... The car needs restoration but a VERY big dollar car when done, currently has a good running 1971 455 Pontiac 325 HP engine with correct 66 heads..... I replaced the trunk lid and bought a new front lower valance, found and bought correct 71 GTO grille's and lower directional's (the car is 98% complete)... The doors were changed for nicer clean ones we had the originals with all the power window parts, striped them out and put parts in the car includeing door tag...One fender was replaced, plus the car STILL HAS all 4 original T3 headlights..... You can see the light surface rust on the under body from years of sitting on a cement floor but she was never undercoated and the floors are nice with only a few small pin holes...... . I know the value of classic cars (I study prices every day for 2 hours in the morning) plus have a used parts inventory that would fill a 200 foot warehouse and DONT need to give anything away... The reserve is more then fair when this cars value when restored is $55,000.00 ..... I have been building these cars (1917-1972) for over 40 years and can have this car done to nice driver condition for under $5000.00 more....... I just canceled and blocked the last bidder as I AM THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN HAVE ATTITUDE, AFTER ALL I AM THE ONE PAYING FOR THIS AUCTION.......If I think you are going to be a problem with the sale you will be canceled, its better not to have it sell then going thru a lot of grief getting paid or dealing with whiney buyers who don't have a clue ..... have a great day......
