This one-owner 2005 Chevrolet Impala was purchased in 2005 and was used as an administrative car. It was assigned to be used by our office group and has 57802 miles. The Bartlett Police Department adheres to a strict maintenance program, which includes oil changes every 5,000 miles and compliance with all manufacturer maintenance at suggested intervals. The new owner can be provided with the vehicle's service and maintenance history. This vehicle is in very good condition and runs very well. The vehicle up for auction has not been inspected but a couple of items can be noted. All four brakes will require new rotors and pads. The headlight lens are clouded and need to be buffed out. The air conditioning system works very well. Cruise control works fine. This vehicle has been cleaned and all police equipment has been removed. All external mounting holes were plugged with rubber plugs and sealed. All electronic components were returned to their original configuration. The vehicle still has an ignition over-ride switch, which allows the vehicle's key to be removed from the ignition while the engine is left running (see photo). It also has toggle switch that shuts off all interior lights. The body is in very good shape with no rust. There are small scratches on the engine hood and trunk lid (see photos). There are a few paint chips on the doors. This vehicle comes with a spare tire. In the interior is in very good condition. The front seats are in good condition. The driver’s seat is a little dirty and could use a cleaning. The rear seat is perfect. All seats are cloth. Four floor mats are included. The rear window deck has a few small holes caused by the removal of emergency interior lights. The ashtray is missing. Buyer’s Certificate. Successful bidders will receive a notice by email from e-bay (the “Notice”).
Payment. Payment in full is due not later than five (5) business days from the time and date of the Notice. Acceptable forms of payment are:
- Cash (U.S. currency)
- Certified Check (Non-cancelable, with Letter of Certified Funds from bank)
- Money Order
- Cashiers Check
Checks shall be made payable to Village of Bartlett. Payments shall be made at the location indicated by the Village.
Removal. All items must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Notice. Purchases will be released only upon receipt of payment as specified above. Successful bidders are responsible for removal of any and all property awarded to them from the place where the property is located as indicated on the website. The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, for removal of the property. Under no circumstances will the Village of Bartlett assume responsibility for delivery. Property may be removed between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding legal holidays by prior appointment only. Vehicles of Titles. Seller will issue a title or certificate upon receipt of payment. Titles may be subject to any restrictions as indicated in the item description on the website. Open titles cannot be issued. The Village of Bartlett will not issue replacement titles.
Default. Default by Buyer shall include (1) failure by Buyer to observe these terms and conditions; (2) failure to make good and timely payment; or (3) failure to remove all items within the specified time. If the Buyer fails in the performance of any obligation hereunder, as provided herein, Seller may terminate this Agreement and shall be entitled to all rights and remedies as are provided by law and/or equity, including attorney’s fees and court costs. Seller reserves the right to reclaim and resell all items not removed by Buyer upon the expiration of the specified removal date.
State/Local Sales and/or Use Tax. Buyers may be subject to payment of State and/or local sales and/or use tax. Buyers are responsible for contacting the appropriate tax office, completing any forms, and paying any taxes that may be imposed.
Fee and Tax Information: Deposit of five hundred dollars must be paid within seven days of the close of the auction. The payment must be either cashier's check or money order paid to "The Village of Bartlett".
This auction is a legally binding contract to buy this vehicle. All vehicles are sold as-is unless otherwise specified. I have done my best to accurately describe this vehicle. It is up to the buyer to come see and further inspect the car before the end of the auction.-->
