Vehicle Detail
This 1971 Mercedes-Benz 280SE 3.5 Coupe 2-Door is in rough shape. First created in 1967, the 280 series was made to replace the 250 series. The Coupe is a 2 door 4 seater that had the most to offer during this era. With power windows and airconditioning, it truly was the trendsetter of its time. Although this car is not running and has an ample supply of rust it is available to be parted out or restored by an optimistic car person. This classic ride has 58935 miles on the odomoter. The exterior shows signs of rust and the interior is rough. This car is fully optioned and has the rare sunroof. I purchased this car on ebay some years ago with the intentions of restoring the car as the 280 series is one of my favorite cars of all time. When the car was delivered I took it for a run and then sent it to a local restoration shop. As he removed the trim we discovered more and more rust and the restoration guy was not excited about moving forward nor was I! So now it is available for the next person to use as they see fit. If you have any interest in these cars or are currently involved in a restoration then you know the value of the parts on this car. Of course the value of these coupes has increased dramatically over the past decade. This car will be sold on a bill of sale. I will also give the Florida title from the former owner which is signed on the back by the former owner but never retitled in Georgia. he pictures accurately show the condition of the vehicle. I would be more than happy to answer any questions about the car that have not already been explained. This car will require towing but does roll. The tires are rough but hold air.I would be willing to store it for a reasonable time as long as the payment was made per auction terms.
