My name is Joe and i sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1996 Chevrolet Baretta Z26, aerial number 1G1WL15M5TY237109. These cars are next to impossible to find, let alone in good condition. I would rate the exterior of this Baretta to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. Please understand that this car is not perfect. There are a few rust spots over the left rear fender as well as a crack in the paint. The top of the rear deck spoiler is faded, as usual. Overall, this is probably one of the cleanest Baretta's left...just don't expect perfect. The purple finish has a deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. The body lines up nice and straight. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close easily. The windshield has a crack on the right side at the bottom. All of the other glass and lenses are intact. The Z26 was the top trim level available for the Baretta and came with a more aggressive facia, side skirts and rear apron. Also included in the Z26 package was a rear deck spoiler and aggressive looking 16" alloy wheels. Back in its day, this was one mean looking car. I remember seeing these as a teenager and wanting one very badly. The original alloy wheels show very well and are wrapped in a nice set of rubber with good tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. I would also rate the interior of this Baretta to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door panels are clean and tight. The deeply bolstered sport seats show well for their age and are very comfortable. The power windows and locks work properly. The stereo system is original and sounds good. The dash and headliner are clean. The trunk is spacious and clean. The climate control system appears to be working properly. The heater works well but I believe the air conditioner will need charged or serviced as it does not blow cold air anymore. Mechanically, this Baretta appears to be in good running condition. The 3.1L V6 starts easily and runs well. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Once in a great while, she'll idle a little rough...but them smooths out. At this age and mileage, it's probably safe to assume that she is due for a routine tune up. As is the case with almost all 3.1's and 3.4's, the lifters are a little noisy upon first startup until they prime up. This is quite normal for these engines. Her road manners are very good for a vehicle of this age. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. The steering feels good. The brakes stop the car easily but do vibrate if you stand on the brakes hard at highway speed. During normal driving, they feel fine. The engine keeps a perfectly cool temperature and excellent oil pressure. There was a check engine light for the evaporative emissions purge solenoid "incorrect flow". It is probably a vacuum leak from an aged hose somewhere. That may also explain the occasional rough idle. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with no issues. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with no complaints. She'll easily cruise at 75+ mph without breaking a sweat. This Baretta Z26 comes as a fresh NEW CHEVY TRADE from a local Chevrolet dealer right here in Mechanicsburg, PA. She does have a Pennsylvania Reconstructed Title. I don't have any history on the vehicle other than that. To the eye, everything lines up nice and straight. The paint looks good and she drives as straight as an arrow. I'd drive this car anywhere without a second thought. For a vehicle to be issued a PA Reconstructed Title, it must pass a rigorous enhanced safety inspection that only a few inspection stations are authorized to perform. This inspection is not easy to pass. It looks as if this Baretta has been very well cared for by her previous owner. Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and i sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.
Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1996 Chevrolet Baretta Z26, aerial number 1G1WL15M5TY237109. These cars are next to impossible to find, let alone in good condition. I would rate the exterior of this Baretta to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. Please understand that this car is not perfect. There are a few rust spots over the left rear fender as well as a crack in the paint. The top of the rear deck spoiler is faded, as usual. Overall, this is probably one of the cleanest Baretta's left...just don't expect perfect. The purple finish has a deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. The body lines up nice and straight. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close easily. The windshield has a crack on the right side at the bottom. All of the other glass and lenses are intact. The Z26 was the top trim level available for the Baretta and came with a more aggressive facia, side skirts and rear apron. Also included in the Z26 package was a rear deck spoiler and aggressive looking 16" alloy wheels. Back in its day, this was one mean looking car. I remember seeing these as a teenager and wanting one very badly. The original alloy wheels show very well and are wrapped in a nice set of rubber with good tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully.
I would also rate the interior of this Baretta to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door panels are clean and tight. The deeply bolstered sport seats show well for their age and are very comfortable. The power windows and locks work properly. The stereo system is original and sounds good. The dash and headliner are clean. The trunk is spacious and clean. The climate control system appears to be working properly. The heater works well but I believe the air conditioner will need charged or serviced as it does not blow cold air anymore.
Mechanically, this Baretta appears to be in good running condition. The 3.1L V6 starts easily and runs well. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Once in a great while, she'll idle a little rough...but them smooths out. At this age and mileage, it's probably safe to assume that she is due for a routine tune up. As is the case with almost all 3.1's and 3.4's, the lifters are a little noisy upon first startup until they prime up. This is quite normal for these engines. Her road manners are very good for a vehicle of this age. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. The steering feels good. The brakes stop the car easily but do vibrate if you stand on the brakes hard at highway speed. During normal driving, they feel fine. The engine keeps a perfectly cool temperature and excellent oil pressure. There was a check engine light for the evaporative emissions purge solenoid "incorrect flow". It is probably a vacuum leak from an aged hose somewhere. That may also explain the occasional rough idle. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with no issues. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with no complaints. She'll easily cruise at 75+ mph without breaking a sweat. This Baretta Z26 comes as a fresh NEW CHEVY TRADE from a local Chevrolet dealer right here in Mechanicsburg, PA. She does have a Pennsylvania Reconstructed Title. I don't have any history on the vehicle other than that. To the eye, everything lines up nice and straight. The paint looks good and she drives as straight as an arrow. I'd drive this car anywhere without a second thought. For a vehicle to be issued a PA Reconstructed Title, it must pass a rigorous enhanced safety inspection that only a few inspection stations are authorized to perform. This inspection is not easy to pass. It looks as if this Baretta has been very well cared for by her previous owner. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.

Winning Bidders:

Full payment is due within 7 day of the auction's end. The prefferred method is to bring cash in person to complete the sale. If you are unable to bring cash in person within seven days or will be having the vehicle shipped, we also accept Certified Checks, USPS Postal Money Orders, and wire transfer.
PayPal is not an accepted payment method. This includes Bill Me Later.
We cannot accept credit cards or personal checks.
Vehicles that are not picked up within 14 days of auction's end will be charged a $10/day storage fee, unless other arrangments are made.
Non-paying Bidders:
We take great pride in our work and are very serious about what we do. Likewise, we expect the people who bid on our auctions to be serious about honoring their bid. If you are the successful bidder for any of our auctions and do not pay for your vehicle within the specified time, an Unpiad Item case willbe opend with eBay. This can severely restirct yur ability to purchse from all eBay sellers. You will be charged a $249 re-listing fee. All unpaid fees will be handed over to a collection agency and pursued to the fullest extent of the law.
Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, etc., and is not applied to any costs incurred by the purchaser.
The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
We are a PennDOT issuing agent and able to complete most tag, registration, and title work, as well as collect sales tax, for Pennsylvania residents.
For out-of-state buyers PennDOT offers a 30-day temporary tag (aka In-Transit tag). The cost is $45 and the buyer must show a valid driver's license and current proof of insurance. We can issue them at our office.
