I've owned this since 1980. Some years ago it was running rough and I took it to an idiot who said he was going to 'boil the carbs'. Since I got it back it only seemed to run on 3 cylinders and the local Honda dealer didn't want to work on a bike this old. It sat in my garage for years and I rewired a bit of it but I've grown tired of the whole project. , new blue side covers with genuine Honda decals (not yet applied), brand new NGK plugs, new extra set of points, new Honda seat cover (also not installed). Many years ago the starter button quit and I had been kicking it to start ever since. The starter still runs fine, I was wiring up a toggle switch on the fairing for it when I got tired. Come to think of it, I have a 2nd working starter for you if I can find it at my shop. The gauges come with it, but they didn't fit on with the fairing so they're in a box. Now I have a newer 1985 Gold Wing Interstate (also for sale) that runs good so I don't care about this 550 anymore. My wife really wants it out of the garage too. If ya parted it out you'd make out well, and if ya restored it you'd have a nice bike too. Shipping is out of the question, it's in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, pick up only.
