Vehicle Detail
1966 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight Convertible For Sale near Akron, Ohio This is a 1966 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight Convertible. Drive a classic. Not many of these were produced or are still on the road. This is a real head turner, we always get comments on how big she is and great looking car. Fun car to cruise in. Very straight body. Good paint. Original interior. It does need a little TLC, but is a great foundation to restore or tinker on a little at a time. Was originally owned by couple that drove it on trips to California. My father-in-law got it and restored the body and put a new top on it about 25 years ago. She has only been in two families. Here is more info on the car: · 110,700 original miles (exact mileage available upon request, we still drive it on weekends and to car shows, so mileage changes a little) · Body is straight and paint is good. Underside is very solid and this car has been garage kept all its life. · Interior is all original, seats are missing some buttons, could be restored. Has telescoping & tilting steering wheel, reverb radio (needs electrical checked out) · Top – goes down smooth, needs a little help going up. Motor is tired. Does have a small hole in outer layer of top about the size of a quarter near rear window. · Electrical does need some work, power windows work intermittently, drive window the motor tries to go up, but just can’t do it. Right turn signal needs fixed, Power antenna works, does not go down last few inches. · Engine – 425 cu. in. four barrel carb. Runs good, a little slow on idle, new starter installed last year, does burn a little oil. Automatic Transmission shifts well, leaks a little fluid around main seal. · Trunk has the original cardboard panels and original floor mate (hole for spare tire tie down has not been cut out of it) · Weather stripping needs replaced around windows and trunk. See pictures, these were just taken on Memorial Day after our city parade. This car was the lead vehicle after the color guard, carrying Veterans in the parade. We’ve been honored to do this for the last few years. Hate to sell her, but got medical bills to pay. Transportation and shipping cost, and sales taxes are responsibility of buyer.
