Up for auction is our recently restored 1980 Mercedes Unimog 416. This truck had a few rust issues under the windsheild and under headlights but that was it. These areas were professionally repaired with new steel and I have large body shop bills to prove it. Along with the body being perfect this is a 100% straight as a string truck in every way. I was going to use this in the mountains for work but after starting the restoration process just kinda kept going to what you see now. Nothing was overlooked. Mog has new paint inside and out, all new weatherstripping, new headliner and doorcards, new custom made leather seats, new glass, batteries, fluids & filters, tires, custom hubcaps, rubber doghouse cover to cut down on noise and heat in cab, Rebuilt tailgate, and diamond plate bed floor. This does not dump, but this truck has air to front, sides and rear. No hydraulics. Front PTO. Everything works as its supposed to. Fires right up every time and no issues whatsoever. Drives like new. Top speed around 52mph. Can be made to go faster but never worried about it. Fun just going 20. We've had a ball with it and will miss it but running out of room. This truck attracts so much attention its almost embarrassing but always a blast to drive. There is a little air leak on locker switch so a new one is on the way and winch has a bug in it too and its getting looked at. Low hours, low kilometers, it sits in my heated garage and awaits a new owner. She's a parade queen now hauling nothing but my Little League team in the back.
