I have for sale a very nice 1973 Mercedes 280C. This jewel is fantastic looking and very fun to drive. I will try to be honest and as knowledgeable to the best of my abilities. This car runs very good ( I only use non-ethanol gasoline). Recent service includes brand new whitewall tires all the way around, brand new shocks. complete front brake job" includes pads, rotor's resurfaced, brake fluid flush, etc". I love this car and hate to sell it but it just doesn't get used enough to justify me keeping it. Odometer shows 17,xxx miles which is 117,xxx. Everything operates as it should. All lights, windows, locks, knobs, and switches work perfectly. The original Becker radio even works, and sounds great. The A/C doesn't work, the reason being some of the lines are disconnected but all necessary parts are included with the car if someone wanted to put it back together. The car has had a repaint at some point in its life, but it was a very high quality one and still shows great. That being said there are some small dings and a few stone chips. But lets just say I would not be embarrassed to bring this car to a car show. Interior is in excellent condition for being 42 years old. I have sheep skin seat covers for the seats. All of the seats are in great shape the only blemish is what used to be a slight tear on the drivers side seat but has since been sewn back together ( visible in pictures). The dash has 1 or 2 cracks about 4 inches long, running front to back but still looks very nice. All gauges work. This car is completely RUST FREE aside from one little spot on the rear of the drivers side wheel well where it looks like some of the undercoating is peeling exposing some metal. Otherwise the floors, rockers, and quarters are as solid as a rock. The engine is very strong and transmission shifts great. It has the four barrel solex which doesn't have any vacuum leaks ( common problem with these four barrels). That being said she is a little cold blooded at times. I believe that the car has the original spare on it but I have no way to prove it. I have the original service and owners manuals. This car has been well taken care of its entire life and it shows, especially now in its later years. I also have a set of four Tru Spoke wire rims (a $2000.00 value) that come with the car( all parts included) these look great I have never had them on the car but they are in fantastic shape. If anything I have overstated the flaws.On Jun-06-15 at 08:00:02 PDT, seller added the following information: There is a picture of rust which is located right behind the left front wheel well.  In the picture it appears large because it is a close up of the spot.  It actually is about the size of a quarter.  This is the only rust on the car!
