1966 Oldsmobile Toronado for restoration or parts. As these pictures will tell you this car needs a heap of help with rust in all the usual places. It has a non original 455 which I believe is from a '71 Olds 98. It's still FWD however. The intake manifold, oil pan, oil pickup, carb and air cleaner are the only things that needed to be switched. It does come with original engine which would require a complete rebuild. It runs fine have been withdrawn from being a daily driver service around 2003 and stored inside. The floor is pretty good but the transverse hat section to which the seat belts were attached is rusted out in the center. I 'm pretty sure that a splice could be made without lifting off the body where the ends of the hat section tuck under the chassis. The brake pedal is low but firm and bottoms out at 1” above the floor. The reservoir was dry but apparently not the system though it could do with a bleed. You cannot adjust the brake star wheels. They were installed incorrectly and do not align with the slots. You'll have to pull the drums and reposition them. All glass is intact but the windshield has a deep wiper arm groove. Of course neither the radio nor the air conditioner work. All and all not a project for the faint of heart but this is the first Toronado the greatest car GM ever produced as well as the second greatest American production car of all time. Being a genius, I would know this. The only one that edges Toronado out is the Cord 810.
