Hello. PLEASE READ THIS DESCRIPTION VERY CAREFULLY AS IT CONTAINS VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THIS TRUCK. While I will attempt to describe the truck accurately, it is being sold as-is with no warranties of any kind. This is a NO RESERVE auction, so the high bidder will win the truck. Do not bid unless you are willing and able to complete the transaction. This is a 1997 Ford Ranger XLT extended cab with the 4.0 engine, automatic transmission and four wheel drive. As you can see in the pictures, it was side swiped on the driver's side. There is visible damage to the fender, door, rocker panel and bed. I am told that the accident occurred 2 years ago, and the truck had not been driven since. The truck does run and drive. I've driven it roughly 10 miles since purchasing it. The engine starts easily, idles well, and has no evidence of excessive oil consumption or major oil leaks. The transmission shifts into all gears and the four wheel drives works well. Brakes feel fine. The air conditioning is cold. As a result of the accident, two of the rear leaf spring mounts are broken and will have to be replaced. The rear axle will have to be re-aligned when the leaf spring mounts are replaced. Although the truck does run and drive, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT THE TRUCK BE TOWED UNTIL REPAIRS CAN BE COMPLETED. IT IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE IN ITS CURRENT CONDITION. The check engine light came on recently. Again, the truck sat for 2 years, so I am sure it needs a complete tune-up and transmission service. That may be the cause of the check-engine light, but I have no way to know for sure. The interior has heavy stains throughout. It appear that one of the armrest brackets may be broken. It does have jump seats in the back of the cab. Radio works fine. Keyless entry with an alarm. Driver's window does not go down (passenger window works fine). Sliding rear window. Clean title.
