I am the second owner. This vehicle is in very good condition. Interior is clean and no rips or tears. The only spot with visible wear is where the drivers foot sits on the mat. This car gets high 30s MPG around town and mid 40s on the highway. The body is solid. The tires have good tread. I am the second owner. I knew the first owner, he mostly travelled on highways and put on the first 190,000 miles. Both of us were the only passengers in this car 95% of the time (limited passenger wear). I love the car and it is fun to drive, fortunately for me, I got a company vehicle to drive and no longer need this great car. This is a 2005 model, this is the year the newer style Jetta was introduced, but this style body is the same as the 2004 body style. This particular body style and diesel engine with the 5 speed transmission is much sought after and hard to find, because most owners never let go of them. The VW garage told me that it hasn't even seen half of its potential life. There are 3 lights on the dash that are currently on: The engine light - Has been on for a couple of years. My mechanic say it is a sensor that is bad. The car runs the same as it did prior to the light being on. The brake light - This light has also been identified by mechanic as a sensor that is bad. He explained that there is a sensor to let the driver know when brake pads are worn down that sometimes goes bad. I just had all new brakes installed less than 500 miles ago. The brakes work great! The Airbag Light - I am told that there is a fuse for the passenger air bag that needs replaced. All of these could be easily fixed with a little time and effort. I have always done all needed maintenance on a regular basis, however, things like these lights have not been a concern to me. As stated above, the car runs great!
