You are bidding on a nice, complete 1968 Mercury Cougar base 2 door hardtop. Car is a factory 4 speed car and had the XR-7 badging, but VIN says its a base coupe. Mechanically the car runs strong, shifts well, and stops as it should. Car was restored by previous owner about 20 years ago and has been in climate controlled storage and driven little since. It is by no means a show quality restoration and has some bubbles and chips in the paint, which I have tried to capture in the photos. We also were not able to get the hideaway headlights to function, but all components are present, so somebody with knowledge on these should be able to easily fix. If you are looking for a solid complete car with a clear title that you can take to the next level this car is the one. It would also make a good driver as it is straight and solid and runs well.
