My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a fairly rare 2000 BMW 540i with the factory Sport Package and the desirable Getrag 6 speed manual transmission. I would rate the exterior of this 540i to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a great looking sedan. It is finished in silver over black leather. The finish has a mile deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. As with any older vehicle, please expect to find a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. On this specific BMW, there is a small rust bubble at the LR fender (which is normal at this age) and the finish on one of the wheels doesn't look the greatest. Otherwise, this E39 is in exceptional condition. If you look at the close up photos of the nose of the car, you'll see that there are barely any rock chips visible. Pride in ownership shows throughout this BMW. The body lines are as straight as an arrow. The doors, hood and trunk all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The exterior body moldings are all present and intact, too. The headlights are crystal clear and show no hazing. The alloy wheels are wrapped in a matching set of Michelin Pilot Sport's with good tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. I would also rate the interior of this BMW to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The carpets show well throughout the interior. A full set of factory BMW floor mats are included. The dash and headliner are clean. The factory //Motorsport three spoke steering wheel shows well and also has integrated audio controls, which are convenient. The leather seats are clean and comfortable throughout the interior. Both front seats are power operated and heated. The power windows, locks, mirrors, sunroof and seats all work properly. The audio system runs through the factory NAV screen, which powers up as it should. The buttons on the dash are non-responsive, but the audio system does work. This car was in for service for quite some time and sat without being used. My gut says the buttons are just throwing a fit from sitting for so long. The audio system works through the steering wheel controls. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The heater work properly and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. The wood interior veneers show well and indicate that this car was garage kept. The trunk is spacious and clean. Mechanically, this BMW appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.4L 282hp V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. In the heading, I mentioned that this car has recently had a MAJOR service. When I got this car, it had a broken timing guide...which is unfortunately a common issue as these cars age. If you know anything about this engine, you know how big of a deal that is. Fortunately, I am good friends with a BMW factory trained and certified technician. This car was completely torn down and serviced. While it was apart, no expense was spared and only Original Equipment BMW parts were used. The timing chain was replaced as were all of the guides. Additionally, the water pump, oil separator and timing chain tensioner were also replaced as well as every gasket and o-ring possible. If it needed it, it got done. When the car is torn that far apart, there is no sense in skipping over things. To have this service done at a BMW dealer would run about $4,000. I spent well over $1,000 in just parts alone (at my cost, not retail) plus fluids and labor. Needless to say, the engine is in tip top condition. She makes plenty of power and delivers it smoothly. The engine keeps perfect temperature. As I said, all fluids are new (used factory BMW coolant and recommended oil). The suspenion feels tight and well sorted. On gravel roads or rough surfaces, you can feel a slight bit of play in the bushings but nothing worth getting excited about at this point. Her ride on the road is as smooth as silk. The steering and brakes feel good. The clutch engages smoothly and shifts does not slip or chatter. Gear changes through the Getrag six speed manual transmission are crisp and precise, as they should be. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. At 90mph in 6th gear, she is barely turning 2,000 rpm's. This car is an absolute blast to drive. With 282hp on tap and VANOS variable valve timing, there is plenty of power readily available. This is a quick, quick car. I've owned a few of these and it's been a while since I've driven a 540 Sport that felt this strong. This car runs like a raped ape and will get you more tickets than you know what to do with if you're not careful. If you've been looking for a clean 540i Sport / 6 speed, this one definitely deserves your consideration. With basically the only major service these cars ever need just done, all that's left to do is enjoy her. Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.
Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a fairly rare 2000 BMW 540i with the factory Sport Package and the desirable Getrag 6 speed manual transmission. I would rate the exterior of this 540i to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a great looking sedan. It is finished in silver over black leather. The finish has a mile deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. As with any older vehicle, please expect to find a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. On this specific BMW, there is a small rust bubble at the LR fender (which is normal at this age) and the finish on one of the wheels doesn't look the greatest. Otherwise, this E39 is in exceptional condition. If you look at the close up photos of the nose of the car, you'll see that there are barely any rock chips visible. Pride in ownership shows throughout this BMW. The body lines are as straight as an arrow. The doors, hood and trunk all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The exterior body moldings are all present and intact, too. The headlights are crystal clear and show no hazing. The alloy wheels are wrapped in a matching set of Michelin Pilot Sport's with good tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully.
I would also rate the interior of this BMW to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The carpets show well throughout the interior. A full set of factory BMW floor mats are included. The dash and headliner are clean. The factory //Motorsport three spoke steering wheel shows well and also has integrated audio controls, which are convenient. The leather seats are clean and comfortable throughout the interior. Both front seats are power operated and heated. The power windows, locks, mirrors, sunroof and seats all work properly. The audio system runs through the factory NAV screen, which powers up as it should. The buttons on the dash are non-responsive, but the audio system does work. This car was in for service for quite some time and sat without being used. My gut says the buttons are just throwing a fit from sitting for so long. The audio system works through the steering wheel controls. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The heater work properly and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. The wood interior veneers show well and indicate that this car was garage kept. The trunk is spacious and clean.
Mechanically, this BMW appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.4L 282hp V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. In the heading, I mentioned that this car has recently had a MAJOR service. When I got this car, it had a broken timing guide...which is unfortunately a common issue as these cars age. If you know anything about this engine, you know how big of a deal that is. Fortunately, I am good friends with a BMW factory trained and certified technician. This car was completely torn down and serviced. While it was apart, no expense was spared and only Original Equipment BMW parts were used. The timing chain was replaced as were all of the guides. Additionally, the water pump, oil separator and timing chain tensioner were also replaced as well as every gasket and o-ring possible. If it needed it, it got done. When the car is torn that far apart, there is no sense in skipping over things. To have this service done at a BMW dealer would run about $4,000. I spent well over $1,000 in just parts alone (at my cost, not retail) plus fluids and labor. Needless to say, the engine is in tip top condition. She makes plenty of power and delivers it smoothly. The engine keeps perfect temperature. As I said, all fluids are new (used factory BMW coolant and recommended oil). The suspenion feels tight and well sorted. On gravel roads or rough surfaces, you can feel a slight bit of play in the bushings but nothing worth getting excited about at this point. Her ride on the road is as smooth as silk. The steering and brakes feel good. The clutch engages smoothly and shifts does not slip or chatter. Gear changes through the Getrag six speed manual transmission are crisp and precise, as they should be. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. At 90mph in 6th gear, she is barely turning 2,000 rpm's. This car is an absolute blast to drive. With 282hp on tap and VANOS variable valve timing, there is plenty of power readily available. This is a quick, quick car. I've owned a few of these and it's been a while since I've driven a 540 Sport that felt this strong. This car runs like a raped ape and will get you more tickets than you know what to do with if you're not careful. If you've been looking for a clean 540i Sport / 6 speed, this one definitely deserves your consideration. With basically the only major service these cars ever need just done, all that's left to do is enjoy her. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.

If you are unable to bring cash in person within seven days or will be having the vehicle shipped, we also accept Certified Checks, USPS Postal Money Orders, and wire transfer.

Vehicles that are not picked up within 14 days of auction's end will be charged a $10/day storage fee, unless other arrangments are made.
Non-paying Bidders:
We take great pride in our work and are very serious about what we do. Likewise, we expect the people who bid on our auctions to be serious about honoring their bid. If you are the successful bidder for any of our auctions and do not pay for your vehicle within the specified time, an Unpiad Item case willbe opend with eBay. This can severely restirct yur ability to purchse from all eBay sellers. You will be charged a $249 re-listing fee. All unpaid fees will be handed over to a collection agency and pursued to the fullest extent of the law.
Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, etc., and is not applied to any costs incurred by the purchaser.
The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
We are a PennDOT issuing agent and able to complete most tag, registration, and title work, as well as collect sales tax, for Pennsylvania residents.
For out-of-state buyers PennDOT offers a 30-day temporary tag (aka In-Transit tag). The cost is $45 and the buyer must show a valid driver's license and current proof of insurance. We can issue them at our office.
