Up for sale is one of the best modern off-road sport utility vehicles ever - the Mitsubishi Montero XLS, also known as the Pajero or Shogun. I am the original owner, as I purchased the car from Salerno-Duane Mitsubishi in 2003. I'm selling because I recently purchased a Range Rover and can't keep both cars. Documentation Included with the car is the original owner's manual, warranty information, and original window sticker, as well as receipts for repairs and maintenance items. Two sets of keys and keyfobs are included. Engine/Mechanical: The engine runs perfectly and doesn't leak or burn any coolant or oil. No check engine or warning lights are present. The oil was changed quite religiously with synthetic 10w30 at 3500 mile increments. Over the past few months, the transmission fluid has been flushed, coolant has been changed along with new water pump, thermostat, and temp sensor. New valve cover gaskets have been fitted, as well as new spark plugs. The secondary O2 sensors have also been changed. The car goes into all 4WD modes without a problem and the differentials have no problem locking and unlocking. Exhaust: The exhaust is the factory unit that came with the car. It is in great condition and doesn't show any signs of rusting through, punctures, or otherwise damaging corrosion. Interior: The Interior of this car is in great shape. No major panels are cracked, ripped, or broken and are as they were when the car was new. There is a bit of wear on the cloth of the center console and left side armrest on the door panel. In the back, there are a few slight gouges in the plastic from loading and unloading. All of the functions work as they should, and the 2nd and 3rd row fold and lock perfectly. Exterior: The car's exterior is in great shape, with no major dings or dents on the bodywork. There are a few minor imperfections in the paintwork, however. There are some scuff marks on the driver's side of the front bumper from parking, as well as some minor spots of paint peeling and dents on the rear bumper from parking. There are small mars and scratches on various parts of the car, which aren't noticeable from any sort of reasonable distance, and the car is rust and corrosion-free. Since both bumpers are plastic, they're fairly easy problems to remedy. New OEM Mitsubishi rear bumper marker lights were recently installed. Suspension: The car's suspension is in great condition. It doesn't exhibit any odd clunks or rattles and the car tracks straight when driving. Wheels/Tires: The wheels are the original ones that came with the car. Over time, two of the four wheels have lost their center caps. The tires would also need to be changed relatively soon. Electronics/Audio: The audio system and all electronic functions works without issue, other than the windshield washer pump, which doesn't turn on when switched. It may need replacement. Brakes: The brakes are in great condition, with more than 80 percent life left in the pads, with rotors looking quite new. The front rotors were replaced at 75k miles, and the rears were replaced at 80k miles with drilled and slotted units, with ceramic pads. The driver's side rear caliper was also replaced with a new one at 80k miles and a brake fluid flush of the entire system was performed. Vehicle History: Enclosed is the Autocheck Vehicle History Report, it scored 58, which is on the higher side of the average range (Normal range is 33-59). There is one small fender bender on record in 2005 that didn't do any visible damage to the car. The title is clear with no liens recorded.
