Vehicle Detail
I am the original owner. Nobody has ever smoked in this truck. This truck was used for pleasure only. It has relatively few miles compared to many other vehicles this age. Most of the miles are highway miles going up north camping. It gets pretty good gas mileage for a truck. And for a 4-cylinder engine, it has plenty of pep. Hauling a 4-wheeler or boat was no problem. I mostly hauled 4 kayaks in the bed. Mechanically, this truck runs GREAT - like the day I bought it. Smooth and tight. Interior is very clean with some minor wear, as you can see. Currently it has an upgraded stereo in it with USB & aux. inputs. I can leave this in if you want it. Otherwise I might pull it and put the original CD stereo back in. Either way, if you want the original stereo it's yours. I have also added a Nissan wiring harness (4-wire) for towing, and an interchangeable hitch ball mount on the bumper, which has a 2" & 1-7/8" ball. This truck is in good condition overall, with the exception of these few items, which are reflected in the price: 1) Front left portion of truck has broken plastic from when I scantily struck a deer 5 years ago. The only damage is what you see - cosmetic plastic damage. It didn't even break the headlight, and the deer ran away. Don't let this one mishap cause you to think this truck is unworthy. It was the deer's fault. I take very good care of my vehicles. This truck runs like new and is priced much lower than the Kelly Blue Book value. 2) Fuel sending unit is defective, which causes the gas gauge to be sporadic. It's been this way for years. I never got it fixed because it doesn't affect the driving. I just reset the odometer every time I fill up with gas, and then fill up before reaching 350 miles. 3) The Tire Pressure Monitoring System is also sporadic. Seems to light up even when the pressure is correct. I didn't really care about this since I check my tires regularly anyway. 4) Normal 10 year old wear surface scratches here and there, primarily around the bed edges and tail gate, from my kayaks. But as you can see, no rust along the bottom, where many vehicles this age are already rusted. I can email you a current Carfax report on this vehicle as well. Reason for selling: My kids outgrew the back jumper seats. Had to upgrade to a crew cab. Otherwise, I would have driven this another 10 years. I love this truck. This was my 3rd Nissan Frontier. I bought my first one in 1989 (then called "Hardbody") and have been driving one ever since. In those 26 years I have yet to have any mechanical failures that kept me from driving. Standard maintenance items is all I have ever needed on these Nissan trucks. Hence the reason I just bought my 4th. If you are looking for a solid, reliable truck, that gets decent gas mileage (22+ on the highway), and don't need to haul more than 1,000 lbs. in the bed, or just want to tow that fishing boat to your favorite lake, this truck would certainly fit your needs. Come see for yourself. Start it up and listen to the smooth engine. Take it for a test drive and see how tight it is. Other than the normal wear & tear to the body, this thing drives as good as the day I bought it.
