Up for auction is our much-loved 1965 Volkswagen Beetle. The motor is a 1500 Single Port. The car has been converted over to 12 volts. Please look at the pictures very closely and you will see the car is in excellent shape inside, outside, and underneath. When we purchased this Bug several years ago the restoration job was a few years old but still very nice. We have driven the car for several thousand miles and it has not given us any trouble at all. The only thing I've had to replaced is the clutch cable, other than that this car has been as solid as a rock. We moved from Michigan to Alabama a couple years ago and this Bug made the 825 mile drive flawlessly at 65-70 miles per hour. There are a few paint chips and scratches that result from careful use. This car is not a perfect "10" but in my experience VERY few cars are. This is a great old Bug....that you can drive and enjoy without worry.On Apr-13-15 at 16:56:03 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello Again Everyone! I've been asked to post up a couple of pictures of the Spare Tire Well, and any other blemishes on the Bug. So please look through the pictures, you will see that the Spare Tire Well is excellent. There is also a picture of a couple of tiny scratches on the right-front fender just behind the headlight, and lastly...there is a picture of the trim piece below the right side rear window.
