Vehicle Detail
2002 Mini Cooper S German engineered and British influenced, this Mini Cooper S is one of the hottest compact cars to hit the American streets. Interior is a well-designed vintage classic meets hip retro styling. I purchased this Mini in the summer of 2010 and I have been using it as my commuter car for the past five years. Here is the good and bad about the car. GOOD EVERYTHING WORK!!! The ENTIRE AC system was replaced in the summer of 2013. It blows ICE COLD. The radiator fan(s) was replaced at the end of last year. The oil is changed every 6000 miles with synthetic. The interior is in good shape, only sign of wear is on driver's side front seat close to the door, but there are not holes or rips. The battery was replaced at the end of last year. The engine is VERY strong and the transmission shifts smooth. BAD The front of the car has road rash. The car was towed behind a camper for a approximately 75,000 miles. The silver lining... the engine has approximately 75,000 less on it as listed. The car has several dings/dents around the car, none are very deep. The rear bumper has a couple paint chips on it. The car has rust on couple small spots on the road rash on the front, a small spot on the hatch back door, and a the bottom of the driver side door. If you have any further question, please feel free to ask. On Apr-22-15 at 14:06:00 PDT, seller added the following information: As this is my daily driver.... On my way home today (4/22/15), I noticed a grinding noise at low speeds during breaking. The noise was coming from the driver's side rear wheel. When I got home, I checked the rotor and noticed evidence of unusual wear. My guess is the brake pad is worn out. I've parked the car and don't plan to drive it again. I don't want to cause anymore damage to the rotors. The rotors were replaced approximately three years ago by myself, so they are in good condition and don't need to be replaced. I'm offering to replace the break pads myself for the cost of the parts. I can purchase parts (your choice of pads) or you can provide. The cost of pads will vary depending on the type. Any questions, please let me now. On Apr-25-15 at 06:56:29 PDT, seller added the following information: Last update, because the car will not be driven again until it is sold. I took the car to be detailed at a local car wash, while waiting in line (approximately 20, car running), the temperature light came on. I shut the car off immediately and restarted it a couple minutes later and the light was gone and never came back on. The only ever time the temperature light came on was last year, the day before I replaced the radiator fans. I've driven this car every Mon thru Fri, to and from work. The distance each way is approximately 35 miles each way. During the five years that I've owned this car, and made this drive, I've only see the temperature light the one time noted above. I've topped up the radiator fluid, it was a little low (approximately a half of quart low). Please feel free to contact me with an questions or concerns.
