1972 Porsche 911T Targa Outside Oil Filler, Driver or Restoration Candidate 1972 Porsche 911T Targa Certificate of Authenticty is at the end of the photographs. We’ve included details and underside shots so you can evaluate the car accurately. We are selling the vehicle with no warranty as it is a restoration candidate. Any and all due diligence should be done prior to bidding, this vehicle was an insurance write-off due to an engine fire in the 1980s. Vehicle runs, drives, shifts and stops as you would expect any 911 to do. The engine and transmission are non-matching. The engine is a 1973 USA Spec 2.4L with the Bosch K-Jetronic CIS fuel injection system. The COA states this car was originally Sepia Brown (74) over Beige/Tan Leatherette (31). It is currently red over black. Paint condition is not great, as evident from the photographs, but there isn’t really any evidence of visible rust beyond some surface corrosion on the underside. Brightwork is pitted and would need restoring. It does drive reasonably well. Bushings on the shifter linkage could do with replacing, but shifts are smooth and acceleration is good. No issues starting the car. Buy it now option- as many of you are trying to find the best car at the cheapest price, we did not list this vehicle with a buy it now.
