62 Chevy Factory 4x4 short box. The original color was gray with gold interior. This truck was bought new in Wyoming, sold to a man in Nebraska in 89, then sold to a man in Iowa in 2000. It had 47,651 mi on it at that time and the last picture is what it looked like. It now reads 48,182. This was a running driving original truck up until 2005 when the body was taken off, media blasted, primed and the box was painted. Then progress stopped and it has been sitting in storage until now. It is missing; windshield, heater core, heater core housing, bottom seat, rear bumper and the lower tailgate brackets.Parts that were not retrieved from the body shop. All other parts are there including bolts and screws which are all labeled. There is minor rust in both rockers and cab corners and a little in the floor on the outer edge by the rockers. There has been no rust repair done and the entire truck has all of its original sheetmetal! It has the 261 ci inline 6 cyl. Believed to have been ordered that way but I have not checked the numbers. I checked the compression and all cylinders are around 100 pounds cold so the engine appears to be in good shape. The chassis was not taken apart and is all original. The body has been bolted back together and down to the frame with enough bolts to hold it together. There is a matching artillary wheel for a spare and a mounting bracket for inside the box. Tires have only a few miles on them but they are starting to crack from sitting. This is a rare truck that is worth finishing.17000.00 has been spent on it and I am starting low with no reserve!
