Vehicle Detail
Ran great for quite a while. It's got a few eccentric things going on. Some sort of after market exhaust system that isn't very quite. Some sort of strut guy that makes it corner very nicely. Walter said it was a rare piece. Lots of Red Powder coating, Brake Pads, bits under the engine. Fancy cables of some sort. The horn is connected via james bond style red button. Always a treat to put the old foot down. Then there started to issues with the TCS traction control system. Which i'm pretty sure is the reason that it failed smog and billows smoke sometimes. No smoke at all when purchased / TCS in good shape....not sure really what happened. I was drunk. Just kidding. Changed oil more regularly that necessary. I've purchased a replacement throttle body along with other bits (that you can have) in an effort to salvage this car. My current mechanic reckons it needs a throttle body computer. It was the last straw and I leased an electric car. I so wish i had more time to put into this thing. My saab story your win. Great when your pulling through the gears... however I always thought it was a little annoying because I spend quite a bit of time cruising on the highway wishing it was doing a lower rpm. Mechanic advised to just live with it until the transmission wore out and replace. Some sort of after market exhaust system that isn't very quite. Some sort of strut guy that makes it corner nice and tight. Walter said it was a rare piece. Lots of Red Powder coating, Brake Pads, bits under the engine. Fancy metal braided cables of some sort. The horn is connected via james bond style red button.... i never really liked this to be honest. The paint clear coat is pealing in places, and there are a few rust bubbles here and there. A/C does not work. I was told by Walter at Right Solutions that it would need the AC compressor clutch. He said it would be about 100$ part number is 4383626Interior is okay... drivers seat is a little worn out. Dash in pretty great shape.Power windows in good shape.Newish battery. Head liner held up by tacks. Of course. Some issue with the headlight relay. Cannot switch from dims to brights, stuck in dim mode. That never bothered me. Car is priced to sell... i'm pretty sure. I so wish i had more time to put into this thing. I've only driven pre 93 saabs my whole life. Breaks my heart. But hey, ELECTRIC car!
