Up for auction here is an exceptionally clean, one of a kind, all original 1987 Ford Escort GL Wagon with 71,854 original miles. It's a 4-speed car with a sweet running 1.9 L SOHC 4 cyl. CFI engine. Equipped with an MSD Street Fire coil & OEM tube header from an HO motor. It is cat-delete, but the original exhaust manifold/cat/downpipe & EGR tube all go with the car, if someone wants to put it back to stock for emission purposes. It has a brand new Thrush Turbo muffler & stainless steel resonator exhaust tip. It has been garage kept, and has no rust & really nice original paint. It has the normal nicks from bugs, rocks, etc. that one could expect on a car its age. It has new American Racing rims & professionally tinted windows. Has cold A/C, converted to R134a. AM/FM stereo radio. Tilt wheel. I have the original non-tilt column that I'll throw in if the buyer wants it. Tires are like new. The interior is super clean & everything works. The car runs & drives like a dream. I bought it from the AACA Museum in Hershey, PA. Clutch has no chatter or slippage. Pedal free-play needs to be tightened up just a bit, as sometimes the throw-out bearing makes a slight ticking sound until you rest pressure on the clutch pedal, then it is silent. No throw-out bearing noise when pedal is depressed.
