WE DO NOT ACCEPT TRADES. IMPORTANT NOTICE: THE VILLAGE OF BARTLETT CANNOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS FOR VEHICLES PURCHASED ON EBAY. SEE TERMS AND CONDITIONS SECTION FOR PAYMENT OPTIONS. This one-owner 2008 Ford Expedition XLT was purchased in 2008 and was used as a fully marked police car. It was assigned to be used by our K/9 Unit, and has 61412 miles. The engine hours on the vehicle are not available. The new owner can be provided with the vehicle's service and maintenance history. This vehicle is not in the best of condition. The engine will need some work for the vehicle to operate properly. It starts but idles rough and lacks power. This vehicle has not been inspected at time of listing. When the vehicle was taken out of service in July 2013 two diagnosis were performed. One from an independent garage and one from a Ford dealer. The first diagnosis was a level 1 engine test from the independent garage. They documented no compression in #3 cylinder and that the engine needed to be replaced. The Ford dealer did a basic engine test and found low compression in #3 cylinder and lower than normal compression in #2 and #4 cylinders. No mention of engine replacement. Because of the above diagnosis The Department decided to retire the vehicle. The interior has been modified to accommodate a k/9 cage and accessories which required extensive modifications. The rear interior door panels are off and the rear seats removed. The door panels, seats, roof rack, running boards, center console and aluminum cage will be included in the vehicle. This vehicle will need to be towed to destination. It cannot be driven. The vehicle up for auction has not been inspected and has problems. All police equipment has been removed. All external mounting holes were plugged with rubber plugs and sealed. All electronic components were returned to their original configuration. The vehicle still has an ignition over-ride switch, which allows the vehicle's key to be removed from the ignition while the engine is left running (see photo). All police markings were removed but a shadow is left because of the adhesive from the graphics. In the interior is in poor condition. There is rubber flooring instead of carpeting inside the vehicle. The vehicle title will be provided to the new owner. This vehicle is sold "as-is" and there is no warranty.
