Relisted due to non paying bidder Up for auction is a 1954 Chevy 3100 1/2 ton short bed truck with a rebuilt 235 6 cylinder engine and a 3 speed on the column transmission The truck has a solid body with very little rust. The truck has the original ignition and the foot stomp starter. The floor boards are solid as are the doors and all the other sheet metal. The cab corners are solid except for 2 small dime size holes at the very bottom of the passenger side. There are some dings and dents in the hood fenders and cab. I left the truck with it's original patina and painted the truck with 3 coats of Hot Rod Flats clear coat.. The inside of the truck has 3 coats of Hot Rod Flats turquoise paint. The bench seat has been recovered and all the glass and glass seals and door seals have been replaced. There are new door panels and a headliner in the truck. I replaced the dome light with a 12volt light. The truck has a new outside mirror and inside rear view mirror and glove box. The truck bed has new pine wood installed and new steel bed strips. The bed wood has 4 coats of shellac on the top side and bottom side. The 235 6 cylinder engine has been rebuilt from the bottom up and has about 500 milesd on it since the rebuild. The fuel pump, starter, and water pump are new. The radiator is a new 3 row aluminum radiator with new hoses. The 1 barrel Rochester carb has been rebuilt and works great.. I replaced the choke cable but I never need to use it. I just pat the pedal 2 or 3 times stomp the starter pedal and she fires right up. I replaced the points with a Pertronix electronic ignition/ The points can be replaced easily. Jus take out the Pertronix and put the points back in. I put the points in the Pertronix box and put it in the glove box. The electrical system has been converted from 6 to 12volts and has a new 1 wire alternator. I installed a new 22 circuit wire harness instead of a 12 circuit harness. I had plans to swap the engine and trans out for a modern sbc 350 and auto trans. I went with a 22 circuit harness with the extra circuits for electric choke sending units, electric fuel pump etc. I rolled up and tucked the extra wires under the dash next to the fuse panel on the drivers side There are new tail lights and headlights on the truck with a after market blinker system installed I replaced the front parking lights with 12 volt sockets.. The horn, headlights and tail lights and blinkers with hazards all work. The head lights high low beam works using the floor mounted dimmer switch. The original 3 speed on the column transmission has been cleaned and gone over and fresh gear lube put in it. The shifter box has been cleaned and new grease and linkage bushings installed so the transmission shifts smooth with NO HANG UPS. The truck has the original drum brakes front and back The brakes have all been replaced along with the brake lines. I installed a new DUAL master cylinder so the front and back brakes are separate from each other. I installed new emergency brake cables so the original emergency brake works. I also replaced the fuell lines and installed a new fuel filter. The rear differential has been cleaned and new gear oil put in it. The wheels are original 6 lug and the tires are 15" Good year Aqua Tread tires like new. The truck runs and drives great and is a lot of fun to cruise around town in.. You can leave it as it si or put a little more into it and bring it back to it's original glory. I will supply the buyer with a notarized affidavit from the State Of Alabama that vehicles older then 1976 are not issued a title for registration. And a notarized bill of sale and a signed tag registration/ I have sold trucks to England, France, Florida, Virginia , and Pennsylvania And no one has ever had any problems getting the truck registered.
