Up for auction...a 1979 Pontiac Trans Am with 79K miles. The motor runs great - very smooth. It has been sitting for awhile so I recommend replacing the belts, hoses, etc. The auto transmission shifts smoothly; however, the linkage needs to be repaired or replaced. This is a factory A/C car but the belt was taken off. I am not sure if it was for added power or needed repair. The body is very solid. The right side floorboard has a hole in it - see pic. The driver's side rear quarter panel has rot on the bottom only. Passenger side rear quarter panel has minimal rust or rot on bottom - see pic. The inside of the trunk is solid. The trunk deck lid is in very good condition as well as the shaker hood, doors, fenders and rockers. The front and rear bumpers are in extremely good condition - no cracks, no rips. The interior is cloth and could use some reconditioning. It has roll-up windows. The driver's side door panel is in good condition - see pic but please note: the white blur spots are just the falling snow. The passenger side door panel has some tears in it. The prism dashboard is in amazing condition. The dash cover has a few cracks. The windshield has a crack. All in all, this is a great example of a 1979 Trans Am and in my opinion, is in a very good restorable condition. It can also be easily fixed up to be used as a daily driver. This car has a great resale value as well. Take a look around on eBay and some other sites. They are fetching some pretty big bucks. I am listing this with no reserve and the car will go to the highest bidder.
