Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is my 1997 Jeep Wrangler. It originally had a 4 cylinder and manual transmission. It now has a 350 and a 700r4.I purchased this off ebay about 3 years ago with the intention of having it on the road within a week of getting it home. The seller was not even close in describing the condition of this vehicle.I drove 12 hours round trip and spent $500 in gas to get this so I didnt want to go home empy handed so decided to purchase it anyways.Looking back I should've just taken a loss. The original 350 had a spun rod bearing and the transmission was burnt up.I pulled the motor and trasmission out of my chevy pickup and put in this.Motor has around 70k and trans has around 20k.Truck was a 2wd so I had a local transmission shop swap out the input shaft with a 4wd.Looking back I should've had them replace the front input/pump seal.It has a slight drip to it.It hasn't been ran for about maybe 2 hours top within the last 2 years.I cant see it leaking, just notice a small spot on the garage floor when it sits for awhile. It may fix itself if driven for awhile, not sure. Its not horrible, just want to be upfront about it.The jeep has 410 gears in since it came with the 4 cylinder originally.I purchased the wheels and tires off of a friend at work and all 5 have decent tread. They are 33".The should last another couple years. It will come with 3 different soft tops and also the hard top.I dont have the original style soft top, after I got this jeep home I tried to put it on but the frame was rotted out and collapsed.Motor has a 600cfm edelbrock on it,it will need rebuilt. It also needs timing set to.I just got this running good enough to move it around when neededT.The frame is very solid and didn't have any rust on it..IT has headers with dual exhaust and flowmaster mufflers.I have kept this sitting around with intentions of fixing but have honestly just lost interest with it.Plus I cant fit the whole family in it.Need to send it down the road before I get any more bright/not so bright ideas.Ive toyed with idea of putting a cummins diesel in it with full size axles, but keep turning it down due to being a money pit.I have a couple other projects that need the money/attention/space so this one needs to go.I sprayed the entire interior, exterior with bedliner/undercoating.This isn't the cheap spray can/roll on stuff either.Had to mix everything and spray on.I drug a large flat head screwdriver down the side of this and didn't even scratch/chip it.This stuff isnt coming off.I have the brand new front driveshaft that came with it but havn't got around to installing it.I don't have the bolts/u joint straps to put it in.It also needs a shifter installed for the 4wd/transfer case.I have crawled underneath and manually shifted it to make sure everything worked.Never made up my mind if i wanted to make the factory transfer case lever work or just mount one straight to the case and cut a hole in the floor.Have the guage cluster ready to install but needs a speedo cable before installing. Also have a new sending unit that needs installed so the fuel gage will work.Has factory springs with 3" lift spacers in currently.I have a set of 4 springs from a 6 cylinder jeep that will also go with it.Theses should lift it a little more and help level the front end out with the extra weight of the v8.It has mounts on bumper for d rings and 2 spot lights.I also put mounts on the windshield pillar for lights but haven't got around to purchasing any.Alot of time and money has been spent to get this far, sounds like there is alot left to do but it isnt as bad as it sounds.I'm just over it.Its in my way and I am looking to get a camper and boat this year so I need the room.It will need to be trailered. It cannot be driven as is.
