Here is a 1973 VW Bus Westy. Interior The interior of this bus is great. Original Westy with bed, closet, table, icebox, sink. Front seats have been covered at some point years ago but are very comfortable and have no rips or tares. The pop top is original and has about a 6in rip right where one of the hinges locks at. It has a couple curtains in it and also has the brown/yellow/white plaid front window cover that wraps from door to door covering the entire front end for privacy. It comes with the bug net for the rear hatch as well. It has an 8 track player and two speakers that are hanging behind the front seats that are not currently hooked up. Floors under the mats are in pretty good condition with very little surface rust in some areas. exterior the exterior of the bus is no show queen. It has had a white re-spray at some point in its life my guess is early 90s. It had sat outside for many years when I purchased it so the bus's paint is dry cracked all around. Once waxed it isn't too bad but I would suggest a new paint at some point in its future. It has been bumped in the front before on the passenger side nose and has a dent on the nose driver side. My guess it was years ago and then re-sprayed. Around the rear engine door has some rust and the rear drivers corner has been bent up. This bus is no show bus but a good candidate for either body work and a paint job or someone to enjoy it as is and take it to the woods and use it for camping. There are dings and dents, scrapes here and there around the bus but other than what I previously said its not that bad of a bus. I also replaced all the lenses around the bus and have all lights working. Freshly painted wheels, new tires with maybe 300 miles and brand new hubcaps. New spare tire cover also, new wiper blades. Has some older stickers on it for character. Engine The engine is a 2L that has been taken down to the case and have had many new things added. Brand NEW Items- front and rear main seals. new head gaskets valve cover gaskets. new dual carb setup. new fuel punp and lines. new plugs, wires. heat tubes. headers and muffler. It also has a new battery tray welded in. new clutch disk. breaks work but will need some attention at some point soon. new throttle cable All and all this is a nice bus for someone who wants to have a nice old westy that will enjoy it in the woods or around town or spend a little time and money and fix he body and throw a new paint job and have a real head turner.
