Other than helping with towing, the main purpose it was installed was to drop the final drive ratio – it turns 2,000rpms at 87mph vs. stock, which turns 2000rpms at 63mph. This lets the truck get a consistent hand calculated 25mpg @ 65mph. Gear Vendor unit was installed by the manufacturer for $4,350. · Pictures were taken on 1-14-15, not from years ago. · It has a Southbend dual disk 3250 that comes with it; clutch was installed and used until the pads wore out.
