Please read all of the description! You are bidding on a very nice 2001 BMW 740il. The flagship of BMW's line. This car has everything including high end GPS display! It has a little over 156K extremely well maintained miles. This car was running and driving great until one moring on start up there was a ticking sound. Parked the car and drained the oil and pulled the pan to discover broken pieces of plastic in the pan. These are likely the timing chain guides. This is a common problem with this engine. You can research the repair online and any mechanical person can do it with some of the correct tools ($250 or some people have made them). I wish I had the time to do this job because it is the nicest driving car I have ever owned or been in for that matter! With this done the car would easily go another 100K miles. The other option would be to part it out (sad to say). This car is loaded with high dollar high quality parts that people will pay up for on ebay. These parts are very sought after by do it yourselfers. If parted I could easily see $10,000! Like I said I wish I had the time. Recenlty put in an entire new front suspension and expansion tank and belts. There are a couple minor electronic glitches which are common for a car this age (tape deck not working, rear window relays etc). In general it is the least glitchy 740 i have seen. The oil is currently drained. This car should be towed! It potentially could drive, but I highly recommend a tow truck pick it up. Please feel free to ask any questions at all.
