Vehicle Detail

My father had off the frame restoration, transmission rebuilt and engine rebuilt by a professional person who specialized in Isettas, and was a collector himself. During restoration, it was found that the Isetta was a convertible, not a bubble back window. My father was able to search and found plans to rebuild the mechanism to allow the back window to be pulled down. (this is different from the sunroof which you can see in the pictures. The restoration was done approximately 4 years ago but had never been driven on roads until October of 2014, as my father's health declined so sat park in a garage until September of 2014. I took the car to a professional motorcycle establishment in Cadillac, Michigan. They went over the car, worked on the carburetor, brakes and made sure all was in working order. He drove is around to make sure safe and it was then loaded on a trailer and brought to my house. It was then put into storage. So has no more than 10 or so miles on the car since restoration. Unfortunately, my father was never able to ride in the car as he passed away in September of 2014. I know the convertible part is rare. I am not sure of the original miles was just put on what was on in October of 2014. I am selling to settle up some of the assets that my father had. Any questions, please feel free to send them to me. On Jan-06-15 at 19:30:53 PST, seller added the following information: I received a few emails concerning the vin number so I contact my brother. The title states the isetta is a 1957, but some said the body is 1955 so after I contacted my brother. I am executor other of the trust and went by the the title alone as I liquidate some of the item my father owned. Anyway, my brother said that during restoration is was found that the chassis is a 1957 and the body is a 1955. This was found when they went to place a new window into the body and things did not match up. That is when my dad found that the back should be a convertible and put it back into the car. I did not mean to misrepresent this at all. I went by the title. If there are any more questions. I will be gladly give you my brother's email to give more specifics. I live 4 hours away from where my father and brother live and was not involved with the restoration.
