Vehicle Detail

I am selling my 1968 Rambler American barn find. I purchased this vehicle a year and a half ago from the original owner. It had been sitting in storage since 1989. The car has under 17,000 original miles on it. We have much of the paperwork and service records on it. Short of a small dent in the drivers quarter where the bumper was pushed into it(barely even noticeable. You have to look for it to see it) the sheet metal is in absolute perfect condition. I restore cars for a living and I have yet to see a car this clean! The paint is all original on it. It has great patina with minor surface rust. Their is tar spattered on the hood from the roof of the garage that it was sitting in. It would probably come off. All glass is in perfect condition as well as all of the weather stripping. The chrome bumpers do have tarnishing from sitting. The interior is in excellent condition with no wear and tear. The rubber floor matt is in perfect shape. The windows roll up and down with no problems. All gauges and radio works as well as the heat and defrost. When we bought the car we had the gas tank redone as well as the fuel pump and carburetor. Gave engine a tune up. Cleaned and replaced fuel lines as needed. We replaced all of the wheel cylinders and went through the entire brake system and changed all fluids/oil. Installed new battery. We cut the front coil springs and installed two inch lowering blocks in the back to give it a better stance. Sandblasted and painted all four wheel. Installed all brand new tires. All lights work. This car runs and drives great. Its a later model 1968 so it has factory welded in sub frame connectors. I know that this is one of the cleanest 1968 Ramblers out there that is all original. Even after sitting for months at a time it starts right up! This car would make an awesome family cruiser and its super comfortable. My plans for it was to make a patina pro touring/autocross car. * I am re-listing this car. It was sold on here. The buyer had come to look at the car. Took it for a test drive and left me a deposit. He had me take it off early and now cannot come up with the money to purchase the car. Please DO NOT BID if you do not intend to buy. For this I will not end this auction early! I hate to be this way but situations like this have happened to me before and it is quite frustrating.
