I own a restoration shop and this is a car I am selling for a customer. It is a 1968 "J" code Mustang GT. The vin number is 8R01J1148566. It was built in San Jose, California so there is none and never has been any rust issues. The J in the vin code shows it has the optional 230 horsepower 302 cubic inch engine. It has the C4 automatic transmission. It also has power steering and power disc brakes. The mechanics on the car are just about flawless. Starts great with no lifter noise and no smoke. Just a great runner. The body as seen in the photos is super straight with just a few blemishes here and there. Nothing bigger than a dime. A good polishing would do wonders for the paint and overall appearance. The interior is very nice with no tears in the upholstery and nice door panels, carpeting and headliner. The only two places on the car that need improvement are the dash bezel and the trunk area. Overall it can be daily driver and really "needs" nothing but a new owner. The tires are good and it was just serviced. A new heater core and fuel pump where just installed.
