This one-owner 2010 Ford Expedition was purchased in 2010 and was used as a fully marked police car. It was assigned to be used by our Patrol Sergeants, and has 73,466 miles. The engine hours on this vehicle are not available. The Bartlett Police Department adheres to a strict maintenance program, which includes oil changes every 5,000 miles and compliance with all manufacturer maintenance at suggested intervals. The new owner can be provided with the vehicle's service and maintenance history. The vehicle up for auction has not been inspected. The check engine warning light is on. The engine runs well but the idle is rough. This might be the cause of the check engine light. This is a FlexFuel vehicle. This vehicle has multiple drive options. Two wheel drive, 4 wheel drive high, 4 wheel drive low and all wheel drive. All positions seem to work properly. The body is in excellent shape. No rust and very few paint dings. This vehicle has been detailed and all police equipment has been removed. All external mounting holes were plugged with rubber plugs and sealed. All electronic components were returned to their original configuration. The vehicle still has an ignition over-ride switch, which allows the vehicle's key to be removed from the ignition while the engine is left running (see photo). All police markings were professionally removed and the paint still maintains a very nice shine. This vehicle comes with a spare tire, running boards, a factory roof rack and towing package. The interior is in good condition. The front driver’s seat has a wear area(see photo). The passenger seat is in very good condition. The back seats are like new. Some police electronic equipment was removed from the dashboard, which left a hole in the dashboard (see photo). There is rubber flooring instead of carpeting inside the vehicle. The interior pillar post moldings had to be modified to allow the installation of the back seat barrier. When the barrier was removed, two holes were created in the pillar moldings. Holes are also in the floorboard caused by the barrier. The rear side window decks has small holes caused by the removal of interior lights.The headliner has two small holes. This vehicle does not come with third row seating. This vehicle has additional roof vents for heat or air conditioning. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have thoroughly inspected the vehicle, and to have satisfied himself or herself as to the condition and value and to bid based upon that judgement solely. The seller shall and will make every reasonable effort to disclose any known defects associated with this vehicle at the buyer's request prior to the close of sale. Seller assumes no responsibility for any repairs regardless of any oral statements about the vehicle.

ONLINE SALES – TERMS AND CONDITIONS
All bidders and other participants of this auction agree that they have read and fully understand these terms and agree to be bound thereby.
Acceptance of Terms and Conditions. By submitting a bid, the bidder agrees that they have read, fully understand and accept these Terms and Conditions of Online Sales, and agree to pay for and remove the property, if the bid is accepted by the dates and times specified.
Disclaimer and Indemnification.
THE VILLAGE OF BARTLETT, COOK, DUPAGE, AND KANE COUNTIES, ILLINOIS (the “Seller”) HEREBY EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE regarding the personal property being sold by the Village to Buyer (the “Personal Property”). Seller neither assumes nor authorizes any person to assume for it any liability in connection with the sale, offer for sale, and/or conveyance of the Personal Property. In no event shall Seller be liable to Buyer or anyone else for any loss of profit, direct, indirect, incidental, collateral, and/or exemplary damages and/or any liability of any kind relative to the sale, offer for sale, and/or conveyance of the Personal Property.
Buyer agrees to purchase the Personal Property, in “AS IS”, “WHERE IS” condition with all faults. Buyer understands that Seller does not expressly or implicitly warrant that the Personal Property meets or complies with any applicable safety and/or regulatory standards (examples: ASTM, ANSI, FMVSS). Buyer is solely responsible for determining that the Personal Property is appropriate for any and all particular uses.
Buyer, for himself/herself/itself, and Buyer’s heirs, legatees, legal representatives, directors, officers, shareholders, managers, members, employees, successors and assigns, hereby releases the Village of Bartlett, and its officials, officers and employees, from any and all claims, liabilities, actions, and/or causes of action resulting from injuries, death, damages and/or losses resulting from injuries, death, damages and/or losses arising out of, connected with or in any way associated with the condition of or use of the Personal Property.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Buyer shall indemnify, hold harmless and defend the Village of Bartlett, its officials, officers and employees from any and all claims, liabilities, actions, and/or causes of action resulting from injuries, death, damages and/or losses arising out of, connected with, or in any other way associated with the condition of and/or use of the Personal Property.
Personal and Property Risk. Persons attending during exhibition, sale or removal of goods assume all risks of damage of or loss to person and property and specifically release the Seller from liability therefor.
Inspection. Most items offered for sale are used and may contain defects not immediately detectable. Bidders may inspect the property prior to bidding. Consideration of Bid. Village of Bartlett reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to withdraw from sale any of the Personal Property listed.
Buyer’s Certificate. Successful bidders will receive a notice by email from e-bay (the “Notice”).
Payment. Payment in full is due not later than five (5) business days from the time and date of the Notice. Acceptable forms of payment are:
- Cash (U.S. currency)
- Certified Check (Non-cancelable, with Letter of Certified Funds from bank)
- Money Order
- Cashiers Check
Checks shall be made payable to Village of Bartlett. Payments shall be made at the location indicated by the Village.
Removal. All items must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Notice. Purchases will be released only upon receipt of payment as specified above. Successful bidders are responsible for removal of any and all property awarded to them from the place where the property is located as indicated on the website. The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, for removal of the property. Under no circumstances will the Village of Bartlett assume responsibility for delivery. Property may be removed between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding legal holidays by prior appointment only. Vehicles of Titles. Seller will issue a title or certificate upon receipt of payment. Titles may be subject to any restrictions as indicated in the item description on the website. Open titles cannot be issued. The Village of Bartlett will not issue replacement titles.
Default. Default by Buyer shall include (1) failure by Buyer to observe these terms and conditions; (2) failure to make good and timely payment; or (3) failure to remove all items within the specified time. If the Buyer fails in the performance of any obligation hereunder, as provided herein, Seller may terminate this Agreement and shall be entitled to all rights and remedies as are provided by law and/or equity, including attorney’s fees and court costs. Seller reserves the right to reclaim and resell all items not removed by Buyer upon the expiration of the specified removal date.
State/Local Sales and/or Use Tax. Buyers may be subject to payment of State and/or local sales and/or use tax. Buyers are responsible for contacting the appropriate tax office, completing any forms, and paying any taxes that may be imposed.
Fee and Tax Information: Deposit of five hundred dollars must be paid within seven days of the close of the auction. The payment must be either cashier's check or money order paid to "The Village of Bartlett".
This auction is a legally binding contract to buy this vehicle. All vehicles are sold as-is unless otherwise specified. I have done my best to accurately describe this vehicle. It is up to the buyer to come see and further inspect the car before the end of the auction.-->
