This auction is for a black 1985 Porsche 944 5 speed manual. It is the earlier 1985 model and has a clear title. This car runs good and drives. When I bought this car a year ago I drove it from Miami, FL to Waveland, MS. It does have some oil leaks. I am pretty sure the main oil leak is because of the oil air seperator. It will need to be replaced. When I got this car I was going to make it into a track / daily driver. So I put in a manual steering rack . With all new inner and outer tie rods. The steering rack came out of a 1983 944. The steering rack matched up perfectly so i didn't have to modify anything. It has a new battery and a new alternator. I also put in a factory AC delete kit as you can see in the picture. The kit drops the alternator, but I did not take out any other AC components. So you can put AC compressor back in the car or you can take out the other AC parts and sell them . I will also include the AC compressor bracket. I also stripped out the old carpet in the back and took out the rear seats. All of the exterior lights of the car do work, including the headlights. The leather seats are in great condition and have no holes or rips. It has power windows and they do work but they roll up kinda slow. I was going to replace with manual windows to save weight. The ignition went out, so you have to put in and turn the key, but then you have to press a push button to start it. So you still need the key to start the car. The gas gauge works but the speedometer and odometer do not work. The interior dash lights also do not work. The passenger seat needs to be bolted down. The sunroof does leak so I keep the car covered when I am not driving it. The dash is cracked. I was going to replace the dash with a fiberglass one and redo all the gauges but I never had the time. All of the glass is in great condition and has no cracks or chips. It includes a cd player, but it needs a new antenna. The speakers could use replacing , but they do work This car is the perfect project car. It doesn't have any cancer and is rust free besides a few spots of surface rust and the tiny bit of cancer on the driver side door ( as seen in the picture). The paint is original and over all is in decent condition. There is a dent in the rear corner panel and on the front fender near the bottom of the door. The car is very straight and the doors close perfectly. It has 4 wheel disk brakes and the brakes work really good. The tires have plenty of tread left on them and the aluminum wheels have no crack or major chips. They just need to be polished. The transmission shifts nicely. It does has some exhaust leaks. I believe it has the original 30 year old exhaust so it should be changed out anyway. I believe I have named just about all the issues of the car . I used this car as a daily driver as I worked on it slowly. I am currently moving and unfortunately I cannot bring the car with me. I hope you will enjoy this car as much as I did.
