Vehicle Detail

This was my sons Jeep which he drove in High school about 10 years ago. Since then its has only been driven occasionally in the summer (maybe 750 miles a year) and always garage kept. Jeep was a off frame restoration about 10 years ago. Framed sanded and coated with POR7. New brake and fuel lines, rebuilt 258 engine and transmission, 2" suspension and 2" body lift. 33" tires with good tread. I have soft Best top and doors, bikini top, Hard top and hard doors. The power steering pump has a very minor leak, I fill it about once a summer. I put in a stronger heater blower motor but it only blows out cold air. I am pretty sure this is only a dash switch problem. I have never fixed it because it's only driven in the summer with the top off so who needs heat. This is not a show Jeep but a great weekend driver and has never had any major issues, it just does not get driven any more. I have tried to describe the Jeep honestly, if you would like to come take a look please email me, no deliveriesOn Dec-03-14 at 03:03:38 PST, seller added the following information: I have been getting a lot of emails on the Jeep. I will try to be a little more detailed. About 10 years ago a off-frame restoration was done. The body was replaced with a steel tub. This tub had some rust holes (floor board , near roll bar mount) this was all cut out and diamond plate installed. The bottom of the body and frame was sanded and coated with por 7 and undercoated. There is no major rust, there is some minor surface rust from scrapes or scratches, as far as I can tell it’s all solid. The Jeep has been garage kept after the restoration. The paint is good, again minor scrapes and scratches and a few bubbles but nothing major. The dash is painted red and in good shape. The speedometer runs a little slow because of the tires. The gas gauge only shows ½ tank when full (I believe this is a gauge issue because when we did the restoration we replaced the sending unit in the tank). Fuel and brake lines were replaced during the restoration. The exhaust is in good shape (replaced during the restoration), my son removed the muffler (he liked the way is sounded), it still has the catalytic converter and it passes MD emission test. The front seats are not original, they are out of a Wrangler. I have 2” wheel spacers on to make the tires stick out a little farther (we liked the look). We have never done any major trailing riding or 4 wheeling with it (4 wheel does work fine). The bumpers are one of a kind originals (built by me…lol) and are very heavy duty. Fog lights work. Earlier this summer I replaced the clutch linkage. Recently the emergency brake froze, I replaced the frozen cable and the rear brake shoes (one was cracked). I hope I covered everything, I would prefer for bidders to take a look before bidding and if anyone has any questions please email me and I will give you my cell #.
