This 1996 Dodge Viper R/T 10 is very rare. It is white with blue stripes. It was one of less than 280 white Vipers with blue stripes ever made and over half of them no longer exist! The car currently has 98,750 miles but that may increase as I continue to dive it. The car has a custom upgraded leather interior with blue leather accents. This car is the best of both worlds. 1996 was a crossover year, so this car has the stronger Gen 1 motor in the better riding and handling Gen 2 chassis. This car is very good on gas. I average about 15 MPG in city driving. On the highway and in 6th gear, you are pulling nearly 22 MPG at 1500 RPMs. The car is in very good shape for being 18 years old. There's no rust on the car. The fiberglass body is in great shape, with no major fiberglass blemishes. There's one minor paint chip on the passenger side rear quarter panel that is about 1" long by .25" wide. It was touched up and hardly noticeable, The front bumper has several paint chips from stones on the highway. One blemish is about 1.5" x 0.5" where the paint chipped off. It was touched up. The next buyer may want to have the bumper re-sprayed to make it 100% perfect. The rest of the car is in very good shape mechanically and aesthetically. The interior is in very good shape. It was upgraded by a previous owner, who eliminated the carpeted doors and added nice vinyl inserts. If you know anything about Vipers, the R/T 10 is functional over luxurious. Everything is designed for racing and can be disassembled in minutes with little to no tools. There's an aftermarket Sony radio with Sony Xplode speakers. The rims are currently plasti-dipped blue. Vipers are notorious for heavy break dust, so I wanted to protect the rims and make them easier to clean. The plasti-dip is 100% removable. This car get looks and comments everywhere and every time I drive it. This isn't like a corvette where you see them everywhere. They are very rare. The lines are so nice on the car, that pictures don't do it justice. It looks incredible with the top off. From the rear, you can see the 14" wide 335x35x17 tires that only came on Porsche Turbo's and Lamborghini's. Team Viper (Dodge) would not let the dealership rebuild the motor. It was pulled out of the car and sent to Arrow Precision Racing. It was returned with a nice bonus, Arrow dyno tuned the motor to 450HP to match the power of the GTS!
Routine maintenance: Rear brake pads done at 98,000 miles. Clutch was replaced at 49,000 miles. Plugs and wires at 66,000 miles and then again at 94,000. Battery was replaced in August of 2013. Engine computer 71,000. Rear tires 335/35/17 May 2014. Transmission fluid August 2013. Serpentine Belt and tensioner September 2014 Currently NYS inspected. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere - The Viper was involved in one accident several years ago. A previous owner hit a light pole and damaged the front hood, drivers side front rim and front side panel. A friend of mine who has many Vipers, purchased the car and totally restored everything. He gave it to his mother to drive. She drove it for about 4 years until I purchased it from her so that she could upgrade to a GTS! Most maintenance performed at dealerships. I have a stack of paperwork to include. Oil changed twice a season (May to November) Synthetic oil always used. Minor maintenance that I've had to do was done by Jeff at Goodyear in Niagara Falls, NY. Of course never driven in rain or snow.
